A collapsible spare tire under the trunk floor is my #1 reason for putting the Q8 E-tron at the top of my list for a new vehicle.

You do know you buy a third party wheel for any car for a few £100, and put it the frunk or underfloor in the trunk.

@Tom OOO you realize most car does not have room for this.

@EVKX Many cars don’t, but many EV’s (designed as an EV) do, as they are full of space.

@Tom OOO i guess you can come with some examples then. Most does not have enough space in the “basemant”. Example ID4, ID5, ID3, ID7, Q4 etron, Enyaq, BYD tANG, BYD HAN, None of the Nios +++ I dont even think model Y have room for it without putting it vertical.

Same goes for all BMW and Mercedes EVS

Thank god the huge suv has camera mirrors, couldn’t imagine the extra drag 😂

😂I owned the original amd had digital mirrors. They were terrible in anything other than a clear blue sky. Useless in a multistorey car park, misty conditions, night time. The seats were like sitting on stone and the bolstering made for fat middle age men. I grew to loave this car. That’s loave not love

Who is buying this car for over 100k? Absurd

No one really, pretty much everything is on finance these days. People only see the 900/month or whatever this will be. Then at the end of the 3 years hand it back. If it wasn’t for finance, this car would have been 45k as otherwise they wouldn’t have had any sales.

Great build quality and to be honest otherwise not efficient at all with an antiquated MMI system. Then you have to face the massive loss when you come to part-x it!

Looks like Audi still isn’t premium in the EV space.

“It’s fine”. Hume sums it up once again. Class act. Hume. Not this car sadly. 😊

You can pick 3 year old ones for sub £25K….bonkers depreciation.

Ye bonkers depreciation when technology advances as quickly as it does in the electric car world. Advances have been very minor for combustion engine cars so depreciation is more stable.

I wonder what the last full year of sales figures are for the old Etron? Clearly Tesla will be tops, as a manufacturer, but what about compared against its direct competition?

Well, if it’s the law, then I’ll write here: great idea of a good BEV – but a bit too big for me and not exactly cheap (nevertheless, I enjoyed the test weekend recently, as a potential customer … maybe, mmmhh, .. . rather not!)😇

Weird how they are now calling it a Q8 E-tron when it’s only slightly bigger than a Q5?

Yes, indeed it’s a very boring car and it’s not understandable where Audi wants to go as sales in USA and China are not so convincing at all! They once claimed in German „Vorsprung dank Technik“. I only miss any advanced technology suitable for their claim as a brand. Something is going wrong and at that price there are better EV out there costing much less to get more.

1000% agree. Not on my list – even if I could afford it. Which I can’t.

Much rather get a GV60 for far less.

I was impressed by the comfortable ride of the e-tron, but it’s wild expensive and the new Q8 e-tron looks basically the same from where I’m sitting.
