Honest opinion Ped, I’m currently enjoying your garage rebuild vids more than the car ones, just an honest opinion I’m sure just restricted to myself. 👏🏻👏🏻

I agree, but not sure Mrs P will allow Mr Ped to keep reorganising the fabric of their estate just for the purposes of creating content 🤣

I would honestly consider running fibre between the buildings, the cost of a pre-terminated fibre and a couple of media converters will be minimal and you’ll get zero loss. You also don’t need to worry about lightning strikes or interference from different ground potentials.

It’s nice to have these updates, progress is great to see as well as hearing some of the technical / specification issues. Looks great as well! The end is in sight I think.

Loving this project. Been watching from day 1. My opinion (for what it’s worth);- Shower area – don’t tile it, rather, use waterproof wallboard. Much easier to install, and a much cleaner finish, because you don’t have the grout in-between the tiles, and so simple to wipe down after use. Also, the cupboard space at the back of the bathroom, in the gym area – put shelves in it with hidden LED lighting. Far better use of the space, without sacrificing opening areas for any doors. As for plastering, my father in law (god rest his soul) was a builder, and he tried to teach me how to plaster. Needless to say I was a complete failure, so I respect any person who can plaster a wall, and it looks like you’ve had some true artists working on this project.

These videos are great because they resonate – many of us prioritise building the homes we want over the dream GT3 purchase. Plus there’s only so many unmarried 20/30 somethings living in flats and buying supercars a man can take!

Hi Pete, Glad you’ve thought about your internal networking. The CAT6 cable run will do the job, might want to think about mounting an access point high up in new space. Depends if you can get another cable from your desk switch to mount it high up. Make sure the switch is POE so the AP can be ran from it! Rest looks great! Can’t wait to see the next video unfold. You’ve kept the character of the building on the outside and on the inside. 👍🏻
