's beefed up its entry-level offering, and it's now one of the tiniest crossover SUVs you can buy! But is it really worth it?

Well, let's have a look at the design. It's clear to see it's increased in size compared to the previous edition, having grown somewhat broader, longer and taller! It likewise comes in a quite bring two-tone paint, and if you want to splash the money, you can ever get it with a canvas folding roofing system!

On the inside, it's clear that this is 's entry-level automobile. There's scratchy plastic found throughout the cabin, apart from on the areas you'll touch typically, such as the guiding wheel and gear stick. The infotainment screen varies in between 7 – 9 inches, and the graphics are suitable for an automobile of this size. Thankfully Android Auto & Apple CarPlay are both available.

Where the X is truly pull down is the engine. There's just one available, a 1-litre 3 cylinder that produces an almighty 72hp.

The X starts from simply ₤ 16,000, so should you select it over competitors such as the SEAT Ibiza or Hyundai i10? Stick with Mat to see on your own!

      We had an Aygo a few years back and it was a great little car… Slow AF but really good fun to drive. We had the Xcite in Pastel Blue with black wheels and roof and it looked mint… As a lady once said in a supermarket car park ” that’s such a pretty car” 👌

      That’s the interesting thing between Countries, Cars and Prices/Warranties.
      I believe you that this isn’t worth it in the US, nor would it be here in Germany for different Reasons like Price, Warranty Differences, Gouvernment Incentives of what Brand to buy etc.
      But maybe in the UK it does make sense and is a good Choice.
      It’s kinda like a ton of Americans think German Cars are overpriced, expensive to repair & maintain etc.
      While here in Germany it’s the other Way around, you’re better off buying a German Car over an Italian, American and even some Japanese Cars because of Price and Warranty being better for German Cars.
      Point being:
      A Car you think is stupid to buy in your Country, might not be stupid to buy in another and Cars that are a good Choice in the US, might be a terrible Choice in another Country.
      That said:
      Instead of the Aygo, you’d be better off buying an “Opel Adam” in Germany for example as an Alternative

      Ah i see! Yeah i’d definitely prefer the TRD as well and the Alfa Romeo Giulia Estrema is a great Choice imho. Seen a few of them in Frankfurt City here in Germany and they seem to be overall really reliable according to Statistics so far in Germany. Alfa Romeo definitely went up a notch the past few Years. Hope you get one in the Future!

      Yes, it must be a huge advantage in this class of cars. My 11 years old 4th gen Lexus GS 450h was very expensive with these options and I pretty sure they work even better in this Aygo X

      The problem is that this car is not actually inexpensive, at least in Europe. It’s around the price of a hyundai i10, suzuki swift, vw polo or seat ibiza, while falling behind all those in MANY departments especially overall quality

    What I love about the Aygo X are the driving characteristics. It feels like driving a Yaris (minus the engine) which is a really huge upgrade compared to the previous Aygo. This justifies at least a part of the higher price.

    the old aygo is one of the most economical car i have driven. they really making a good job on this, on long trips i averaged about 4.0 l/100 km. and imo a fun car to drive, its just so small 😂

    Hey Mat, just a quick suggestion: reveal the manufacturer’s 0-60 time AFTER you’ve done your run. It’d make things exciting as we could make predictions and then compare the actual result and the official stat.
