… … … … … … … … … … … … … The has actually taken
place today, and as an outcome, some of the craziest and most fascinating vehicles of the year have been revealed over the past week! Among the most hectic manufacturers was Nissan. They revealed a variety of concepts, including the hatchback-sized Principle 20-23, and the Hyper Urban SUV. Both of these are likely to form what the future Micra and Qashqai could look like, even if it's likely that the crazy aero and gull-wing doors attached to either are likely to be removed for the production models. Nevertheless, neither was the most amazing Nissan on program.

That title is held by the , which highlights what the future R36 GT-R might look like! Given it's a principle it is most likely to be toned down a little for the production design, but the stats Nissan has unveiled run out this world. It'll be all-electric and will be able to produce 1,360 hp- more than DOUBLE the output of the R35 GT-R NISMO! It wasn't just Nissan that unveiled some interesting brand-new vehicles. Toyota was around and displayed the FT-SE cars. It appears like it might be a replacement for the MR2, and this all-electric sports is likely to come with dual motors and four-wheel drive. Toyota also displayed an all-, which we can't wait to get our hands on! There were likewise some fascinating unveilings from Mazda, consisting of the Iconic SP. It's a two-door cars that'll weigh 1,450 kg, and looks set to be a replacement for the RX-7! It even features a rotary engine, even if this will only be utilized to power an electrical motor … Apparently! But which vehicle was your favourite on program? Definitely it had to be the future GT-R. Or did something else capture your eye? Let us understand in the comments! Generations Drag Race: Sell your vehicle with :

Pretty sure it’s always health and safety issues stopping concepts from being road worthy, as much as we would like them to. I mean look at the ladder extension on the Hyper Adventure, there’s no way that would make it to the showroom.

The Mazda Iconic SP is by far the star of the show, perfect propotions with the RX7 MX5 heritage design. Not so sure about the powertrain though.

I love the hybrid concept. The rotary acts like an auxiliary power unit (APU) and you get all the torque of the electrics. And don’t need to navigate to chargers.

@James DellaNeve From a convenience standpoint sounds good yeah, but having a rotary engine on board not being part of the powertrain seems a bit of a sacrilege to me. Also 1.5 tonnes for an A110 sized sport cars still quite a lot tbh.

Personally, I find the Mazda is the best one out of them all not only because of the rotary engine which is the only non-electric one here, the design is also very clean and smooth, not to mention the pop up headlights, very futuristic but elegant at the same time just like it’s grandpa RX-7.

I also like the other ones too, I like futuristic vehicles, but I feel like they’re too edgy and look kinda rough, like the new GT-R is basically how I drew the R35 GT-R when I was 5. Those futuristic wheels alone combine with the current design should look good enough, just some tweaks to the current one should do everything. Other than the outside designs, I absolutely love those interiors, they’re just what I needed for a perfect car.

The Mazda is electric, with an optional rotary generator

    5. kooooons Avatar
      kooooons

The only non electric? Did you not watch to the end? The rotary is just a range extender for the electric drive train. It’s a bit weird that their concept car is said to weigh >1400kg as if that would be impressive after caterham showed the project V prototype with <1200kg months ago and also a super seven EV prototype with around 700kg and still 50kWh of gross battery capacity
