    again audi keeps putting lacklustre interiors in their cars with many screens and barely any physical buttons and the horrible buttons on the steering wheel plus material quality in the interior could be better

      I wouldn’t expect cheap “ Kinder egg” plastic , on ANY car ! Least of all, a Q2, costing north of £40,000!
      On a £52,000 Q5, it’s unforgivable.

    5:40 this does work using CarPlay and Apple Maps – a full map, not just directions, is displayed on the right hand side of the driver’s display.

    8:23 the electrical locking mechanism is there so the door doesn’t open in case a car or a cyclist behind would drive into it.

      I don’t believe they are cost cutting on buttons in a car in this segment, I think that is too simplistic. It looks more modern, it is not so good to use.

      @@tr4nnel752 Tooling cost on buttons is expensive. Really expensive on decent quality ones. Count how buttons there used be in cars. Touch screens represent a huge potential cost saving for manufacturers.

    I don’t trust a manufacturer that took a tried and true door opening mechanism and replaced it with an electric one that works worse, is less reliable, is more expensive, is more complicated, increases my risk of accidents, and gives me absolutely nothing. Audi, if you couldn’t even do this, which you’ve done many times on previous generations of cars, how can I trust you on other, more complex technical things?
    I wrote this with sadness because you were my favorite brand of cars before. But not anymore. I will not deal with stupid people because I do not trust them.

      It is a safety feature. The car will detect upcoming objects from behind and prohibit the opening of the door if you want to exit the vehicle. You still have a mechanical backup that unlatches the door if you pull the handle all the way.

      But yeah the electric doorlocks broke a lot on the C8 A6 for example. Time will tell how the new ones hold up.

      ​@@martinsvensson6884 I literally said in my comment, that it also has a mechanical backup for emergencys. It will work like any other lock in a car if you pull the handle all the way.

      @@raoulne well yes, but that mechanical emergency mechanism is recommended to be used only in case of … emergencies. Otherwise it damages the lock system.
