New BMW 7 Series M70 review!

This is the BMW i7 M70!

The M70 is the performance version of the premium all-electric i7 launched in 2022, and its style is a bit more aggressive with comprehensive black trim, sportier bumpers and 21-inch alloy wheels as standard with aerodynamic trim.

But if you believed the sporty upgrades would translate to the cabin, not so much – it's just as plush as the basic i7, although there are some M tricolour flashes and other M upgrades in there to keep it interesting.

Nevertheless, with the M70's impressive power upgrade comes an eye-watering cost walking!

So is it worth the extra cost? Mat has all the responses for you to see if it compares to the Mercedes-AMG EQS 53+!

    I’m still not yet sure about the exterior looks but it does seem to have presence on the road. However, the drive, tech and interior look fantastic.

      i recently saw one driving in full dark gray, and seeing it in person on the road it really does look like a posh car and it screams look at me i am rich and drive a i7!

      Personally if i had the money i would never get one, but i can see rich folks who want to show that they are important and rich drive in these cars.

    3:12 ooh, an i5 as a camera car
    14:30 I wonder if brake lights were engaged the moment regen kicked in. Because it seems like some of the EVs can slow down faster than ICE cars while engine braking and this is a bit annoying.

    It looks like one of those Chinese ‘luxury’ cars that are an amalgamation of multiple European luxury sedans, yet, manages to make them all appear in their worst possible way. Great job BMW!

    Hard for the looks to grow on me but atleast the kept the same overall shape so the car still has some presence!

    Side note: Matt said it has slightly less hp than an eqs amg but puts up a graphic saying the bmw has 2hp more😂

      The Jeep Avenger review was an honest review which is why Jeep wanted it pulled. All other reviews by Mat and Carwow are biased because money talks and the truth doesn’t.

    I’ve seen the i7s a lot here on the Autobahn in Germany. And if it’s completely black it looks really good, especially in Person.
    Not a big fan of any other Colours on it, but the i7 in black really grew on me

      Yeah the all black looks the best. And the I7 doesn’t look that bad in person.
      Looks mean and bossy I would say.
      Saw one when I visited Norway in this summer.

    It’s the fast Autobahn travel model…

    But insane how BMW manage to get so much traction from such a tank!
    There aren’t many car makers out there, who are able to control 2.8 tons in that manner.
    Brutal and impressive, those motors would rip apart my van with that punch 😮

      @Vi Althans Not really, Tesla S Plaid is weight unladen 2265kg vs 2770 M70. Or Gross Vehicle Weight 2629kg for Tesla S and 3250 for M70. Length 5021mm vs 5391mm. Wheelbase 2960mm vs 3215. There is no comparison, different worlds. Apparently the same segment F- Luxury but really not. And I really don’t like BMW’s. 🙂

      Its like driving a ship on the road, u must always be more careful than the usual car weight, but I guess u get used to it and there’s quite a bit of technologies controlling the rolling in the corners which is the part where the heavy weight is most noticable.
