What is noticeable in the comparison, is that the Mustang has better ride quality probably due to higher profile tyres and the BMW has far more road noise. Does it also have run flat tyres ? The Mustang has more engine noise, but BMW has typical 6 cylinder turbine smoothness.

Dark Horse has 500hp in the US. Standard GT has 480hp.

Have already watched some of his content on House of Cars, specifically when he had the Cupra Leon on.

I think his missed the point that’s it’s been designed as a drift break not just a normal electronic handbrake

You didn’t mention that the reason the Mustang has that break lever is so that it doubles as a drift brake. If you look at the rear brake disc, you will notice the extra calliper.
The Mustang is a better looking car than the M2. The styling on BMWs of late has been somewhat of a disappointment.

Exactly, it is a drift break 🙂

To be honest, I’d pick the Mustang. Probably inferior to the M2 in every way but bags more character. I’d probably swap the exhaust for a switchable sound one though…

another great vid! just to note that ive been keeping an eye on prices last few months and ive seen them as low as 62k new but i doubt this includes first year VED , which is substancial ,so probs might be just under 70k all in.

The Mustang interior shows just how charmless touchscreens are, but maybe the whole car is for buyers who grew up on Gran Turismo on TV screens…

NO! don’t say it. We in Agricultural are quite sophisticated these days, way ahead of American heavy iron.

I like the hand brake. Its a good idea if the brake bite adjusts with how much you pull it. You could use it for drifting then

Yeah, its “horses for courses” I suppose 😉 I’d choose the Mustang because its got a muscley V8 whose sound you wouldn’t get bored of. I was expecting the power to be > 493 bhp, but actually that is just about right. Another excellent vid, Peter! 😉
Good to see Brian here also.

Ped the Mustang is a drivers car you don’t buy one for the infotainment system which in all Fords I’ve found to be pretty lacking compared to other Brands. As for what you call the hand brake that has a very specific purpose it’s for drifting. I’ve had the luck to have a track day in one and boy I’ve never smiled and laughed so much in years.
