As an owner of a 2023 jcw in the same colour combo, the issue we have with this is the lack of personality inside, the dial and gear stick are all part of the interior charm…the old advert “ mini adventure “ does not apply anymore…but the size does look good…great review and good to see Mrs petrol ped …happy new year…

After the funny faces from Tracy, that closing, Googbye and Happy New Year was very chirpy, or was that because you said she could drive again.. 😂

Being a driver of a Gen 3 Countryman, I really appreciate your review. Yes the new version is bigger than the Gen 3, but it is not too big. It has more utility and space for people and their “stuff”. Thanks, again, and let us know if you actually buy one.

Fun video Pete. I think what gets a lot of people is the use of the name Mini on a car that’s bigger than a lot of the other cars in the same class. BMW own most of the old British car names from their days of owning British Leyland. They could have used one of them and kept the Mini as a small hatch as it started with BMW. Still, water under the bridge.( Gets off soap box). I’m sure it is a good car as it shares the underpinnings with the BMW 1 series. Oh, and a Happy New Year! 😀

I had a new Countryman S AWD as a hire car for a week, I really liked it, a really good modern take I think. As many have said it’s by no means ‘mini’ even when you park it next to the likes of a Jag F Pace, I’d love a shot of JCW version!

15:08 this is Tracey saying “oh man up, it’s not that big”. Basically, if you like minis but with the volume and driving position of an SUV then….ta daaaa!🎉 The same folks that berate this car are the same type of people that say things like “it’s not a mini anymore”, yeah, you can actually survive a crash in these ones.

I’ve had my JCW U25 for a few months now and I love it! My previous car was an F56 JCW. Great car but needed more room to save buying a small van to carry my bikes in!
I agree with all the comments on your review.

Wish my doggy girl would sleep but all she does is pant constantly from when we start to when we get to the other end. Boy dog just chills out.

Seems like the perfect all around fit for your lifestyle and household requirements. Personally this version looks much better and more practical than the last one.

I walked past a countryman at a local garden centre the other day and couldn’t believe how big it was.
Certainly not a looker either, obviously it’s practical with all that interior space, but there’s a lot of competition for that market.

I like the size – these days we all seem to need room for stuff. It seems great car.

I’m sorry….when I go into my garage, I want to see something that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. The design of this Mini gives me the chills. No round headlights and what’s with that C pillar design!

The haters so need to get over “it’s not a Mini” nonsense. Grow up. Mini is as much a brand than a description. I’ve owned all Mini since the 70s through to F56. As much as I like the Mini community thing they are also the worst with ridiculous hate on anything beyond 2002. Enough that may well get something else as my 2nd Car next. Been super happy driving EV so might even get another smaller EV….. R5 maybe.

I usually stay in “comfort “ but currently in “eco” due to the snow and ice. Regen is set to standard, zero, 2 and 3 can wait until weather improves. Sport mode would be a mad thing to do right now. Renault MeganE.

BMW Mini has been around for 25 years now, and yet people still make the ‘its not a Mini’ comment lol

The Countryman is a large half series, it was taller than my previous 6 series, which is ridiculous, and just does not fit the old school Mini. Bet its taller than my Panamera too!! LOL
