This is the Maserati Ghibli Trofeo!
It's Maserati rival to high-performance saloons such as the BMW M5 Competitors & Porsche Panamera Turbo, and Mat's ready to discover if you should pick the Italian over a German!
Well for beginners, let's take a peek under the bonnet, and the very first thing you'll observe is that the engine's red. The factor it's red is due to the fact that it's based on the engine that is used to power the Ferrari Portofino and Ferrari Roma! The power output might be down a little compared to the Ferrari, but it's still adept! It's a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 that can produce 580hp and 730Nm of torque. When it comes to power, Maserati claims it can propel the Ghibli Trofeo to 60mph in just 4.3 seconds. So it's pretty outstanding, although it's still a complete 2nd slower than the BMW M5 Competition …
When it concerns the design, the Ghibli Trofeo looks quite similar to the regular Maserati Ghibli, although there are a couple of subtle changes. In advance, you'll find vents in the bonnet and a carbon fiber splitter, and along the side, there are optional 21-inch wheels and red inlets added to the side air vents. Around the back, it's all quite similar to the standard car, apart from the addition of a carbon fiber rear diffuser.
Take an action inside, and the design of the interior seems somewhat middle of the road. If anything, it's maybe a bit outdated. The good news is however, there are a few aspects we're actually pleased with. There's a brand new contemporary infotainment system in the centre of the dash, and there are also a pair of sports seats for the driver and front guest. There's also the option to choose a carbon fibre pack which adds carbon to the centre console, door trims and paddle shifters!
So it's a seriously smart automobile, however as a result, it then features a quite serious price – ₤ 121,745! So do you think it's worth it? Or would your money be much better spent on a German rival? Let us know in the comments!
