Kia Stinger GT – Final Drive on the Best Driving Road in the UK ! | 4K

This year is a sad year. We say goodbye to some awesome cars and trucks as they go end of life, amongst them is the Stinger. For me among the most underated efficiency saloons of the last decade. UK sent me an intense orange and asked me to offer it a great send.

First off I drove it to Coventry the get it drawn by my mate Ian Cook (PopBangColour). Then it was off to find the Black Mountain Road in Wales. Possibly the very best driving roadway in the UK.

One day I’ll own a stinger!! The cinematography was amazing Sir Pete. A very nice send off to a amazing car. I wish this car could be around for a few more years. I still have my popbang color mugs of ruby and Charlie clubman. Ya did the stinger right with this send off!! 4K was awesome as well!

Totally amazing what he can create with a pen !!!!!!! I`m still in the early stages of matchstick cats and dogs myself!!!!! and a lot of improvement on that is needed may I say😊😊

Yep, that was definitely worth filming in 4K 👍🏼

      I think so too!

Agree that this will be a future modern classic. Even though I drive an EV, I will be sorry to see the demise of superb ICE cars like this.

Cracking video Pete. I’ve often thought of getting a Stinger, even test drove one over a weekend but it never quite came together.

It might have been cold but you were lucky to see so little traffic. It’s normally busy with sightseers, cyclists and rogue sheep.
I quite like the stinger, it reminds me of the Lotus Carlton from back in the day (vauxhall were not known for their super saloons, but black beauty changed that).

Great video Ped love the 4k the colours are so rich, such a shame to be loosing cars like this Stinger I think life will be very boring with out cars like this and the Audi V10’s

Good choice of road! I’m lucky enough to drive that road every couple of weeks as I like about 30mins away. There is another epic road pretty close to there, it’s not always open, but it is always quiet and has spectacular twists and turns and elevation changes

Can you notice a quality improvement by me shooting in 4K ?

On my phone i don’t, but when watching on my TV can notice the difference then

Yes a noticeable difference. Are you recording with GoPros only? Which models and do you have any problems with lock ups?

Looks lovely (colour and clarity) on the 55″ telly – I still wouldn’t have the Stinger in orange though 🙂

No difference on my tablet but a bit sharper on my 49″ TV.

Beautifully filmed and a sad loss of what is clearly a good car…. unless someone stops this current madness driving us down the electrification route this will just be the first of many good cars that we will be losing in the next decade… 😞

I have had my red 3.3 Stinger for 2.5 years now. 32k miles in and love it dearly. No plans to ever get rid. Immense value for money, really shifts when you put your foot down and starts conversations everywhere you go. The owners club is a great bunch of people too. I need to take it to this road, looks incredible!

I really liked the look of this and wanted to own one but the price was over £40k years ago, my nearest dealer was an hour away so ended up spending £4k more for the equivalent German brand. Now they look amazing value for the package and have a proper dealer network. Great sleeper car.

I’m on my second Stinger, had a 4cylinder now on the V6 and love it – will be keeping this for some time – nice video, nice send off

Had my Stinger GTS for 18 months now. Fantastic car & does everything you need. Comfy, fast, fun to drive, spacious, big boot, mile muncher, extremely well spec’d & blows most german equivalents out the water in that respect. 7 year warranty, very reliable… literally the only thing I wish it had was a better exhaust note. That’s the only negative.

Absolutely superb, turns heads everywhere you go & extremely well respected by anyone who knows what it actually is. Future classic, I hope so as I’ve no plans to get rid of mines any time soon.

Great “Last Hurrah”, Pete. Fabulous road, ridden it myself on the metal steed. (4K does make a difference, I watch in 1440P but the sharpness and quality is greatly improved).

I bought my Stinger 5 years ago when they first came out. I took so much stick from friends about buying a Kia, however as the years passed almost to a person they have changed their perception, especially my friend that bought a Jaguar F type R (£115.000). It only did 32 miles before Jaguar agreed to return his money as it developed a fault that they said would involve practically dismantling the car to trace the fault!!

Two You Tuber’s reviews helped me decided to get my Stinger. They would be PetrolPed and Jayemm.

Still love it to bits and look back at it when parking up. It’s all amazing apart from two things.

The keyless entry and led headlights are shocking. Was spoilt by the headlights as I came from VW Matrix led which were incredible.

Will hang onto it after the final payment I think. Not interested in the EV6 GT. Too expensive for my pocket and I simply will not have another SUV, it matter how fast.

A brilliant car and even more awesome scenery 👌the 4k definitely adds to it aswell, a much shaper and clearer picture 🖼️👍 It really is a shame these ‘proper’ motor cars will be no more going forward especially since the government really aren’t investing in a proper, reliable, national charging network! I will always debate that EVs are the future and better for the planet as, like many others I don’t think they are, even more proven by your previous ‘living with’ videos… We are having them pushed upon us, just like the ‘buy diesel vehicles’ sham of 2010…look where we are now! I’m sure us petrol heads will keep these proper cars going for many years to come… More so when the planet resembles a modern day ‘Mad Max’ 😎 nowhere to charge then…🤓
