This is the Skoda Kodiaq vRS!
It's the 'hot' variation of Skoda's family-friendly 7-seater SUV. The concern is, if you remain in the market for a performance car but need space for the kids, should you consider this brand-new vRS? Let's take a better look.
In terms of style, it remains fairly comparable to the standard Kodiaq, with a few small updates. Up top, you have a black grille, a more aggressive lower bumper, side breathers, and obviously, some vRS badging. Along the side, there are brand-new 20" alloy wheels, along with contrasting mirrors and window surrounds. At the back, there's a full-length reflector strip, an aggressive rear bumper, and bigger, exaggerated exhaust surrounds.
On the within, the design mostly mirrors the standard car, with a few minor distinctions. There's a 3-spoke wheel, red stitching throughout the cabin, and red colouring on the digital dials. There are comfy, body-hugging sports seats, as well as aluminium pedals. Being the vRS, it also includes the top-of-the-range big infotainment screen.
Under the bonnet, you'll discover the very same 2-litre 4-cylinder turbo as found in the VW Golf GTI. It produces 265hp and 400Nm, along with four-wheel drive.
The brand-new Kodiaq vRS begins with ₤ 53,690. So is it worth it? And more notably, does it offer enough performance to encourage you to splash the cash over the basic cars and truck? Stick to Mat to see on your own!
