Looks like a cross between a mini Cooper clubman and a eqe

Basically the Mercedes EQ design team took the Mini Clubman structure and applied their design language to it. That is probably what literally happened.

This vs the MG4 X power would be great in a drag race.

I’ve driven both the MG is 435 Hp 600 Nm torque the Brabus 428 Hp 543 Nm. 3.9 v 3.8 0-62 although they are both quicker. The MG does the quarter mile in 12 seconds dead. I can only estimate the Brabus at around 12.5 seconds. Even though the MG is slightly quicker and £7k cheaper I’ve bought the Brabus because the six pages of extra kit plus the added luxury are well worth the difference to me.

If we had more electric cars on our roads, it could even improve traffic jams at intersections since they start so fast.

Shades like the new mini EV. But I loved smart from day 1. It’s a Brabus. Nice bit of kit.

Brabus cant modify any aspect of an EV other than aesthetics. This is not a real Brabus, its just pure marketing. Attach 4 plastic bits and some stickers and idiots will pay a lot more for it.

    5. Garry Croft Avatar
      Garry Croft

@Woo LALA yes we have to pay 10% import duty and 20% tax on top. This adds £10,000 to the price.

A little range test between some EVs like the Smart #1 Brabus would be a very great idea

    1. Purwanti Allan Avatar

Brabus Smart 1 gonna cost $450.000 on some countries.

    2. malo devic Avatar
      malo devic

@Purwanti Allan THAT MUCH ??? what country would put a prize that it’s as high as the revuelto with nothing !

    3. malo devic Avatar
      malo devic

@Purwanti Allan the lowest prize of it is 45k, but I think that you didn’t understand the prize, bc 450k is extremely expensive and NO one would buy it

      Hoàn Vũ Massachusetts

Some of you don’t know, Vietnam and Thailand has a 300% tax. So if a $50k car in US will cost $150k over there, cash only!

Nice car, 5 cool features are rather underwhelming! Raced one of these Brabus versions in my Born E-boost and bet it, then check its stats on my phone later as wasn’t sure what it was, and realised she was prob using half throttle and playing with me!

Brabus 1 had some nice touches like Nissan Pickup.

Looks great – I also prefer the Brabus above the normal Smart#1 if I can afford of course, also the MG4 – it is the cousin of the VolvoEX30 right? Same Geely platform and drive train?

    1. imWSss Avatar

      Indeed. Volvo EX30, Smart #1 & #3 and Zeekr X are cousins.

@Garry Croft Emeya and Eletre are very different, but Polestar 4 is the brother of Zeekr 001, which these two guys share many similarities with their compact cousins.

5:42 Matt has a great point here, straight line performance has nothing to do with when we’re talking about the true level of “performance” in a car, it doesn’t matter it’s an electric or ice cars. being said, we all should wait and see what the Hyundai has to offer with their N division on their EVs, especially the Ioniq 5 N!!!!

    1. Garry Croft Avatar
      Garry Croft

This is quite true, it’s because of weight 1,900kg if you want a fun to drive electric car then the rear wheel drive BMW i3s at 1,285kg is really fun to drive.
I have one until next week when I get the Brabus.

    2. redone Avatar
      redone

Indeed, but I do have an issue that nowadays people who were used to 2.0 TDI engine cars can jump into a new medium price EV and launch themself into a pole or another car in 3.7s. This EV trend is just road accidents waiting to happend!

    3. Purwanti Allan Avatar
      Purwanti Allan

@Garry Crofti3 and Brabus 1 both only weighed 1340kgs imo.
