I messed up and the Internet let me know ! | 4K

In my current comparison video between my Boxster 2.5 GTS and the 4.0 GTS I screwed up. I'm not too huge to admit I got it incorrect so here is an apology and explanation of the mistakes I made. Oh and I've got a charming new set of tyres just in time for my drive trip next week.

I love these tires. I have both the summer and the winter versions and just keep changing seasonally. Have fun on your tour. I am going on a smaller tour back to the Smokey Mountains again for the Mini Drives the Dragon event. (By the way I found the errors insignificant as I was more interested in how it performed, which to date you have not steered me wrong!)

Great video Pete I admire you for putting your hands up for making some mistakes, you usually are so right about all your information that’s why you are my No 1 char channel 👍🏻

Honesty is the best policy so well done (gave yourself some timeline/editing pressure there!). Tyres – I have 4S tyres on my Kona N. They are totally different to Pirelli P Zero’s; better grip, softer tyre wall so more comfort and less road noise, just feel more secure, especially in the wet!

See it all the time on carwow mate, so to do it once it’s good going considering the content you put out weekly, consistently. It probably means more to you as I know this was a video that you spoke about on the podcast, that you were very much looking forward to doing. You probably felt it more because of that too!

Keep up the grind! Numbers are HUGE!!!

I find tyres interesting. (Sad ain’t i 😅) imagine how much of a car actually touches the road, it’s hardly anything. So it’s amazing how different quality tyres make such a difference. Would love you to do a video with the cheapest tyres you can get and see how much difference it makes

Good on you for making this video, as a non sports car owner either of the two cars are gems on the road , looking forward to some autobahn driving in the GTS 😊

Pete, your videos are fantastic mate. What people have to realise is that you are an enthusiast not a specialist and quite often the content is your view and not an absolute science so don’t beat yourself up over it. I for one will continue to enjoy your uploads as always.

Good on you for putting facts straight Pete. You’re not the first car reviewer to get some things wrong and I’m sure you won’t be the last.
Probably worth going back to the original comparison video and adding a link in the description to this video… ( If YouTube allows such adjustments)
Michelin Pilot sport 4s is a great choice of tyre.

Pete, I think you produce some of the best content about cars on here with a down to earth genuine enthusiasm which we all celebrate you for. We all make mistakes, we are human after all and getting the correct information out there is hard with conflicting information. There are lots of keyboard worriers out there just just want to cause a stir. Learn from this and just move on.

I am too fascinated about tyres and how they work and perform so I enjoy Johnathan Benson tyre reviews content.

I wouldn’t let a few minor honest mistakes get you down. You make good enjoyable videos and the mistakes are few and far between. But it’s great you own any mistake and correct them. 👍

I had a 4cyl 718 Boxster S 2.5L and it was a brilliant bit of kit. I now own a 911 but if I had the money I would still have the 718 too. Obviously very different cars in there own right but equally enjoyable to drive.
Another point to mention on the tyres, when I bought the 911 it had P zeros, I went to Snetterton and had a great day ragging them out and a week later fitted PS4S, it’s night and day how much better they are 👍. Love the channel Ped

In all fairness you are a one man producer, presenter and content creator extraordinaire, during lockdown you kept us entertained and I sincerely appreciate your hard work, I think about the good things that you do rather than minor errors. Frankly, there is no such thing as messing up even big media organisations make mistakes. Viewers can be very critical with all the advantages of hindsight, but we are mere spectators, credit to your creativity and content!

Hi, I always enjoy your videos, and every one is allowed to make mistakes, every ones an expert on social media 😂😂. Ps I have had a Boxster 986 since 2012 and it still puts a smile on my face every drive out, keep up the good work Pete look forward to the next video 👍😎

I drive 4ltr GTS and was really interested in your vid – and the comments it created on here and also in the Porsche GB forums. Great that you’ve made a new vid and sought to explain – I can’t imagine being cameraman, producer, editor and star but you do all that and I wasn’t for second fussed about your findings. You love your car, I love mine…..your video actually made me love mine more 😂 keep em coming !

Hi Ped. I haven’t yet seen the original video but watched this one thinking you’d been comparing a Porsche to a 2CV and not realised or something ridiculous and were being shamed by the whole internet. Think we all love your channel for the great content, fun presentation and all round enjoyment – not the odd stat that got away. Keep up the great work. 👍

Your such a genuine man, a total car nut (Enthuisast) you do extremely well to film, edit and produce such excellent content for us all to enjoy on your own!!.. You’ll also hold your hand up if you’ve made any errors, but I wouldn’t worry one bit about it. Carry on producing the excellent content that your fanbase know and love. Take care, drive safe.

So, Pete the conclusion is you’re human like we all are – I’d just like to say congratulations to all those who commented about the errors Pete made it’s really great to see that there are so many perfect people out there who don’t make errors 👍🏼

Ped well done another great honest video. Out of curiosity have you tried out another 4Ltr GTS just wondering if it might just be something particular to that actual vehicle when it was manufactured. Enjoy the new set of tyres it’s always a great feeling on the first few drives after they’re fitted.
