Has Volvo finally nailed it?

Modification your cars and truck with Carwow:

This is the brand-new Volvo XC90!

It's the second facelift this variation of the XC90 has actually received, having initially been released way back in 2015! The concern is, just how much has altered compared to the 2 previous iterations? And is it still among the very best 7-seaters around? Mat's about to take a closer look and learn.

In regards to the design, there are a few updates over the previous edition. In advance, there's a brand-new bumper, an upgraded grille, and some updated headlights. Along the side, it's practically the like it was previously, although that's not a surprise provided the body panels have actually been maintained from the previous edition. Around the back, the automobile is still almost identical to previously, although options are fairly limited anyway when you're a big seven-seat SUV!

On the inside, there are a few noteworthy modifications. The infotainment screen now protrudes from the dash, and the os has been upgraded to Android Car. The cabin is covered in soft-touch materials, and the general design is still reasonably the like in the past. The digital dial screen has been retained, although it's rather dark – rivals like the Audi Q7 certainly do it better.

Concerning engines, there are just 2 to pick from. Both are 2-litre 4-cylinders, with the entry-level coming with a moderate hybrid set-up that provides 250hp. A plug-in hybrid choice is likewise offered, which includes a bigger motor and assists to produce 455hp. Both setups come with all-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The brand-new XC90 definitely looks the part, however it doesn't come low-cost! The entry-level starts from ₤ 65,000, with the range-topper (the cars and truck we have for this video) costs around ₤ 78,000. So is it worth it? Stick to Mat to take a better look!

The modern systems are so advanced nowadays, I never ever change the climate, not even the temperature. A steady 20,5 degrees celcius all year round. I even don’t need to use the defrost buttons 🤷‍♀

They’ve done enough. The only downside is the protruding tablet, but the software is much better now. The previous design aged well and they simply updated it instead of completely redesigning it. Looks alright to me, very relaxing and classy interior.
