GT3 RS v Turbo S v Dakar v Carrera T

Mat's flown over to the south of France for the journey!

He's got his hands on what he thinks to be the 4 best models of the , and he's going to drive each of them on a 500-mile journey from Lyon all the way to Monaco to find out which takes the crown as the supreme 911!

So let's take a look at what he'll be driving, beginning with the 911 Turbo S! We currently understand the Turbo loads a punch, as its 3.8-litre twin-turbo flat-six has actually taken down a lot of rivals on the drag strip. However take an action within and regardless of being a true powerhouse, the 911 Turo is still so elegant and comfy. The variation we have here is covered in leather and comes with incredibly comfortable sports seats, and although he's set to experience some twisty mountain roads on this route, it's more than efficient in managing these sorts of conditions.

After the Turbo Mat will be delving into the Dakar. It's based on the 911 GTS, so it comes with a 3-litre twin-turbo flat-six that can produce 480hp and 570Nm. So obviously it's a bit down on power, but it comes with an entire load of modifications to make it truly stick out. However, given it's truly developed for off-roading, will it provide any sort of competitors to the power and performance of the 911 Turbo when it concerns driving it on tarmac?

Following this we have the Carrera T. It features the very same 3-litre-twin turbo flat-six as the Dakar, however in this circumstances, it can only put down 385hp and 450Nm of torque. What's more, it's fitted with a 7-speed handbook! It's the most inexpensive vehicle Mat will drive on this journey, with the cost coming in at ₤ 106,000 – ₤ 9,000 more than the standard Carrera. So it features the basic Porsche feel and look on the within, and it's also very light, with the rear seats stripped out to actually assist improve satisfaction on these twisty mountain roadways.

Then lastly we have the daddy – the new ! It includes a remarkable 4-litre naturally-aspirated flat-six that can produce 525hp and 465Nm of torque. It weighs in at simply 1,450 kg, and you can think of that it sounds definitely impressive when it's running through the numerous mountain tunnels on this drive.

The question is, can any of the other cars and trucks actually compete with the new GT3 RS?! Or will it just enhance its name much more and prove to be the supreme 911? You'll require to stick with Mat and see on your own!

I own an aventurine green Cayman and it does look gray under low light conditions. It is a beautiful shade of green under brighter light. I receive a ton of compliments on the color.

As a manual 992 T owner, I agree – and the only thing that could pry my car away from me is a GT3 Touring or GT3RS allocation.

Seeing the cameraman’s reaction to the GT3 RS was so wholesome. Mat is so used to the experience so when you see him drive it, you can tell he’s happy but he’s not overwhelmed with joy whereas when you see someone who doest get the opportunity to drive these crazy cars on a regular basis get a go he is struggling to contain the excitement and the kid in him is just going crazy. So beautiful to see.
