was that long front one going in back to front….?? natural curve should curve in at ends..?

I was thinking the same as Ped was doing that one

Absolutely back to front. The tips at each end will still not be fully seated as there trying to curve outwards.

Agree. Definitely seemed back to front with the curve.

Yes I agree he has fitted the wrong way round

It looks to me that the long lower grill was back to front as it seemed to have a curve in it

Yes, you could see the welded ends, where the grill meets the back of the surrounding frame. Nobody will notice down there 👀

Done the same to my GRY, had very big gaps in thin plastic grille. Intercooler is safe now and car looks much meaner. Recommend!

My old 2017 Audi S3 had the same issue. Stones hammered the air con condenser. It does make the car look better.

Looking good I was a little worried when I spotted the hammer in one frame but it looked fairly straightforward. I told my son about the company for his mk1 mx5 and he said he would take a look so thanks for the code if he does go ahead.

Looks like the long lower grill had a curve and looks like you fitted it the wrong way round. Which will put a strain on the end screws, which ultimately may fail. Just saying, of course I could be wrong, but all the other components seemed to match the curve of the car. 🤔

Thought the same thing. It’s not fitted properly.

Jeez, I could feel the strain on the end screws of the long grill!!! Take it off and reinstall!

I do understand why you did it. I am happy that this is standard at my 718 Spyder! On the other hand I have driven a 997 Turbo without these kind protection over 10 years and 120.000 km and never had a problem. But, better safe than sorry.

Pete, the bottom one is defo round the wrong way. All the others have the outer wire edge on the outside, the bottom one you have it facing in. Looks good though.

Really like the side grills and the bottom one (when installed the correct way around) but don’t like the 3 main central ones so may put me off, unless they could remanufacture them slightly set back behind the existing similar to the sides.
