BMW X5 review: It can do everything!

Compare the very best new & used and truck handle :

Fulfill the brand !

Mat's got his hands on BMW's newest family-friendly SUV to discover if it's the ideal all-rounder, and to do that, he's going to give it a correct reviewing! So let's get into it …

Starting with the style, there are a number of significant modifications on the outdoors compared to the most recent edition. Around the back, you have actually got new tail light designs and an updated bumper, while along the side there are brand-new alloy wheel designs, and in the M Sport edition we have here you'll also find black surrounds on the windows, coupled with black roofing system bars. Around the front, it's similar to the back, with brand-new headlights and an upgraded front bumper. Couple these changes with the hard-edged creases along the side, and we believe the X5 is a correct good-looking automobile!

Step within and it's a standard BMW, with soft-touch products discovered throughout the cabin. The X5 now includes BMW's most current curved infotainment screen and digital dial display screen, and there's loads of storage to be discovered throughout the cabin. The seats are also pretty comfortable too.

There are a number of engines to choose from. 2 3-litre straight-six diesels deliver either 300hp or 350hp, while there's likewise a 3-litre straight-six turbo gas coupled with an electrical motor, that can put down 490hp. However, the range-topper is the M60i, which has a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 that can provide 530hp.

The brand-new X5 starts from around ₤ 69,000, rising up to around ₤ 94,000 for the range-topping edition. So is it worth it? Or should you choose a GLE or Q7 rather? Stick to Mat and see for yourself!

    You guys dont get the 3.0 i6 gas engine? That thing absolutely rips (0-60 in 4.7 seconds) and still gets over 30 mpg on the highway. Best thing about it is that it’s the base engine in the USA, no paying to upgrade.

    You are just so wrong about the self park function. It can struggle in areas where you tried (with unmarked bays) but overall it’s genuinely impressive

    1. @AI-Records24 Avatar
      @AI-Records24

      Used to work for a rental company and we put the auto park against each other from the x5 and the Citroen C8 (iirc) the Citroen didn’t know what to do with itself and couldn’t get anywhere near the space even when you made it really simple for the car. The X5 went straight into even quite complex situations. Weird as I would have imagined it’d be the same system sold by Bosch or whatever, maybe it is and the sensors are the problem idk but there’s a night and day difference. Wouldn’t ever use it in real life as I can drive but it was fun to pass the time in work😅
