BMW M4 CS – Is it worth £30k more than a standard M4 Comp ?

While Is remained in Germany shooting with Michelin UK I got the secret of the BMW M4 CS from @JoeAchilles1 and did a fast One Take Review. I wanted to ask the concern – Is the M4 CS worth the ₤ 30k premium over and above the standard BMW M4 Competitors?

    I love it but… I wish they had a no cost ‘sleeper spec’ option. I just dont like the carbon bits on the bonnet and the red around the grill. Am I getting old?! haha

    What I do know, based on recent BMW releases….the new 3 series will be heavier, have a cheap interior and will be more expensive. Might look a lot different….keep up the good work Ped, nice to see a BMW on the channel.

    I’m sure it’s a stellar car, however I can’t believe the price. Personally I’d take an M2 for the purity of driving experience coupled with a manual gearbox. I can’t imagine this could bring much more fun on public roads, which let’s face it is where it’s going to spend almost all its life. A little like myself everything is getting too big and bulky these days. Think we need to reflect on Colin Chapmans famous quote about if you want to add performance add lightness.

    Lovely car, no doubt about it, but I can’t help compare this and the many other modern performance cars you’ve reviewed to your older videos. Cars such as the S4 Avant, which you reviewed just six years ago sound significantly better in the cabin compared to this and are now a fraction of the price, I am worried that modern cars have lost that connection between driver and manufacturer. Especially for us UK motorists who have to deal with the increasing cameras for near everything, yet see no improvements to our roads; a car like this only has place for special track days and not everyday use. Such a shame.

    not a bmw fan at all but i like your enthusiasm so i watched it, could think of a whole raft of other cars (new and used for £130,000) i would have before this, but i get the draw, same with your mate Joe too, he is also good and informative to watch but mostly BMWs and i just cant get excited about them, i do like his road trips and 2 wheels channel though

    Nice video! 🔥🔥🔥 I owned a Yaris GR for one year, then switched it for the M3 2025 LCI. Now with all cards on the table I have the say the Yaris was twice the fun for half the money. The thing with this BMW M-cars is that they are to quick for the streets, to use them as intended you will need a track. And you will need to take racing-courses to use the potential of the car.

    In my Yaris I had fun even in legal speeds, also loved the manual shifting! I miss my Yaris!

    I have a G series M4 Comp which is ridiculously fast for UK Roads- so the M4 CS must be insane. Great video as usual

    Hi Ped, your San Diego viewer here. Glad to see you back in a BMW again. With Porsche pushing their pricing up so high and opening boutiques in local malls here in the states( never a good sign), BMW is giving their buyers better bang for their bucks IMO. That M4CS is worth the extra money if you’re really passionate about driving. Speaking of value, I remember how happy Mrs. Ped looked driving the BMW M240i back from your weekend getaway. The 2 & 4 Series BMW’s are kind of a goldilocks “just right” fun car for a couple with no kids but a pup or two in the back seat. We took ours on a road trip up to Mt Shasta in Northern CA( about a 12-14 hour trip) to pick up our pup from the breeder and what a fun drive that was, especially once you got off the freeway! The roads heading over to Paso Robles, San Louis Obispo are fantastic as is highway 1 along the coast which you remember. However unlike Germany, no Autobahn here but some California drivers drive like their on the Autobahn…lol.

    It’s a lovely car. I suspect in todays world the standard M4 would be just as good – we need German roads and Autobahns!

    I own one. And I had my CS race on carwow. It is absolutely ballistic with chassis dynamics to match. It achieved 10.7 seconds in quarter mile against brand new Porsche 4GTS. I owned 2X G82 M4s before the CS and I’m here to tell you that yes, it does drive like a car with 30k worth of upgrades. The handling is just sublime. Chris Harris has also tested one in track and loved it.

    I travelled today from Scotland to Wales today in my fast tesla, and all I saw was police car, overhead cameras, average speed cameras…no wonder cops on the beat are non existent, there’s more cash to be made by the driver. Makes you think if its worth getting a car this powerful
