The best part about every dude bro and soccer mom owning a pickup truck or SUV is that I can’t see over them on the highway so I don’t know if there’s traffic or they’re just hogging a lane.

This is another reason why I am always disappointed when a luxury/sports car manufacturer like Lamborghini or lotus or rolls Royce makes an suv… none of them can really off-road too well and they’re just show-offs designed to please the ultra-rich and the spoiled

that money could be better invested in something like the Lexus LM but people think a luxurious comfortable monospace is “uncool” so they are a rare dying breed (R-class RIP)

@@Slaeowulf haha. I’m not…I don’t actually rate many of their models, but attempting off-roading on standard road tyres is always going to show limitations. The perfect one-spec tyre for all occasions doesn’t exist. Land Rover make a better fist of it, but they’re specialists in the field… Pun intended..

@@Williamjohanneson Fair enough, as Mat said, cheap off-roaders are the best off-roaders. Still, what the Audi did is extremely impressive for a street car with street tires. Also it would pretty much annihilate the Dacia in every other regard. The mighty little Dacia still keeps up to the Audi here tho.

I was expecting the same hype as well. When there are floods in the main cities and all these cars engines get flooded, you see Audis making it back home

@RastaAfricanGentleman I had a S6 and when I went out to the rural area where I stay I had to go off road a bit and it handled it like a champ. Went up a step muddy hill with ease

Yes the traction control is good. But all you need is good tires and decent ground clearance which are hardly high tech.
