It's a first time on the channel for and I thought I would begin with the 490 horsepower Sport Plus. Eye catching styling, a glamorous interior and mega efficiency. It's not all positives, there are a couple of problems we require to talk about!

Genesis need to get more dealers. I’m in Cambridge and the closest seems to be in London.
This means I cannot consider their cars even though many of them are great.

Thanks Ped, making my car searching activity easier but more difficult at the same time 😂👍

The Ioniq 5N and EV6 GT are two quite different versions of a performance BEV…. So really curious where this falls.

Really like it Pete. Didn’t realise Genesis was owned by Hyundai. It looks like a great quality car and love the interior. They need to get more dealerships, closest to me would be a 300 mile return journey 😱 Disappointed the pup hasn’t appeared in the last couple of videos, we need more of Tracey & pup appearances 😂

The pup was out with Tracey while I was filming 👍

Thank you doing your Genesis Video Review, the GV60 is part of a three Model Range 😊

Love the styling but I think that might be too much of a premium over an EV6 – look forward to that review! Nice though!

Genesis have been main sponsor of the Scottish Open golf for a few years now.

Another interesting insight into a brand I knew very little about. Not for me I’m afraid fingers well burnt on that front. We have just bought our first new to us Mercedes ICE car so are looking forward to delivery day.

    On Hyundai servicing Genesis cars.
Where did you get this information?
I’m trying to find it written down in a clear manner without ambiguity.
    Thanks.

I was in Seoul last week… Got a taxi from Incheon airport to the Grand Hyatt there and back which took about 1.5 hours each trip. You see so many Genesis, Hyundai and Kia variants we just don’t get in the UK. The ride quality of the cars I travelled in was very good, no doubt helped by the excellent roads.
The rotating ball reminds me of the Jaguar XF air vents that did something similar.
The interior trim in the one i sat in at the car show at Farnborough airport a few years ago, was not quite up to Lexus quality to me but it is very good and easily matches my 73 plate GLC300e in AMG premium plus spec.

Yes you need to reset the trip computer to get accurate miles per KWh when you are using it. Sounds like a lot of that cars driving was also over winter. My EV shows low range numbers in winter, and high numbers just now, but I’ve reset the trip.

Genesis / Lexus / Infiniti / Acura . All luxury brands to take on the German trio and beat them .

Great review Pete. Interior finish looks incredible.
There will be a performance version called the Magma. I imagine that would see the high output motor/ gearbox from Ioniq 5n.
Will probably be £80k plus though!

Good to see something that doesn’t look like a brick on wheels. What ever happened to curvy cars other than super cars?

Great looking car, very stylish and appears to be beautifully finished too! Excellent review Pete, where you live provides a very pleasing backdrop for the walkarounds that you do, great job all round! Cheers!

    Love the number plate
Have to say it looks impresive, did not know it was part of Hyundi, price is a bit punchy but quality looks first class, great one Pete

Test drive the G70 it is basically a Kia Stinger made posh inside. Unfortunately we only get the 2.0 petrol from the Stinger / i30n

Great timing! I had a casual look used GV60s online this morning. Suspect it is a bit bigger than I would want but might need to have a closer look.

Like many EVs, check out the secondhand prices for the GV60, and they look very appealing! I think they are great looking ‘sleeper’ cars, with something of the Macan look about them…
