My daily is a 2013 Seat Exeo 2.0Tdi and my weekend car is a Mini Cooper S Coupe – both analogue manual cars – love driving them both –

This is brilliant! My Daughter drives the previous version 208, whilst I have had as my daily driver a recent 2008. They are pretty good cars!👍🏽

Shame they don’t make a GTI anymore

They do – but unfortunately it’s going to be electric.

Congrats on 250k I remember when you hit 100k that was a milestone. I hope you & Mrs P have a Happy Christmas & a prosperous New Year when it comes. My second car was a 1.9D Peugot 206 then a few years later I drove the GTi then I owned a 208 GTi but it disappointed me so it didn’t last long before I swapped it out. I do like the styling Peugeot are going with on their cars lately & some of the colours also.

I’ve just bought a new Peugeot E-208 for £20k a couple of months ago. It’s such good fun and it’s got loads of go and has lots of personality for the money.

Good to see you trying some rather more affordable cars. I picked up a 2023 Fiesta ST-3 with only 5k miles for less ££ than that basic 208 with perfect ergonomics too and 200hp too. And no wet belt!

What a great functional car the 208 is and so much better to enjoy the driving experience in.

Great one Ped, good basic car for a change. Never had Peugeot myself. My mechanic is not a fan of three pots sees too many in his shop for repair. Wishing you and family the best Christmas and new year, getting ready for 2026

I have a Mini Countryman JCW, latest. Love it! Wife has a VW Up! GTi, which I really love driving. Similar to 208. No room, even less tech, but lovely sound from 3 cylinder & such fun! Had a Citroen AX GT with 89Hp, in my youth & ‘progressed’ to Peugeot 106GTi from there. Light & so nippy. Glad I had my time! Keep up the good work 👍

Oh to still own my 1989 Ford Fiesta 1.4S. It was light as a feather and a total hoot to drive. The seats were not particularly comfortable, but the car was a little roller skate. I am glad that Peugeot are keeping that essence alive.

Ped, great vid, one for the “normal” motorist😊, I’ve got a 308 myself, more room in the back, goes like the wind…not a performance version by any means but has “sport” setting that changes the car’s characteristics, 45+ mpg and plenty of room in the back for our two dogs and grandkids! All in all best £30k we paid as new in March 2023.

I prefer how the Vauxhall Corsa, FIAT 600, Jeep Avenger or Citroen C3 look, I think Peugeot is way too fussy, but this video is proof that normal cars are still good and still fun. Lots of great options out there. Well presented video. Entertaining style and not pretending to be clarkson.

YES! For me, Vauxhall now has the best-looking, neatest designs among all Stellantis marques, including Alfa Romeo! So I prefer the Corsa over the 208.

Great video Pete… The Pug 205 GTi was from a time when cars were brilliant and simple and it just goes to prove that today we don`t need massive bhp to have fun, sadly though that nice sounding 3 cyl engine still uses a Wet Belt and that would totally rule it out for me..

Really great video, love to see some more economical priced cars, its all well and good reviewing high performance cars when in the uk can only legally do 70mph and lets face it cars like this will still do that speed and its the smiles per mile not the posh German badge so yeh lets mix it up for 2026 and what about reviewing some nearly new cars too I think lots of followers and I think your subs will go up to, but like I said great video, have a great Christmas 🎄 and I wish you the very best for 2026, brilliant channel 💯👌👍

Refreshing video of an underrated car. You get the same chassis and build quality as the latest 40k GTi versions (coming soon) and at a fraction of the cost, also they are chain driven now too. Love it !!
