    In years gone by both Mercedes AND Peugeot were know for producing solidly “bullet proof” cars…

    The Mercs screens remind me of my old VW Beetles dash for some reason.

    Quality, reliability, Image etc.
    Mercedes all the way, but I agree that the styling is weird. Not as weird as any BMW though😄 and Nicola’s face is perfectly formed thank you.

    I think Merecedes design currently is attractive-adjacent. Nearly good looking, but something is off about many aspects of the design.

    Still surprised that there is any need for 7 seaters. Never have I ever seen 7 people coming out of them.
    Besides the wonder where is the luggage going with 7 on board.

    As for class. I think it’s mercedes that has come down the ladder.

      We are a family of 6 and need one, we have the e5008. Not sure how we’d manage with a 5 seat car

      @BEVolutionUKa PV5 would probably be a better car. I’m not a fan of STLA tech.
      Got an e-Expert to proof that point.

      @BEVolutionUK

      @RedBatteryHeade-Expert isn’t based on the STLA platform. It’s much older. PV5 is a van not a car which unfortunately isn’t appealing for us. Also the range is less.

    If you like the battery and power of the Mercedes, but need to be careful on the budget…. Choose the Smart #5….!

      And miss out on 2 seats though so not an option for most. If you don’t then it makes perfect sense

    If you really need 7 seats a second hand Kia EV9. Full size seats overhead air for every seat

    1. @BEVolutionUK Avatar
      @BEVolutionUK

      For us it’s just too big…..as in to park etc…its.also incredibly goofy looking….we went with the e5008

    2. @sandisz Avatar
      @sandisz

      if only the price tag of EV9 would be at least in the e-5008 and GLB territory as it is in USA. Too expensive for KIA brand in EU.

    3. @BEVolutionUK Avatar
      @BEVolutionUK

      @sandiszfurthermore the EV9 starts at £64,995 at the moment and the E5008 £40,595….the Kia isn’t worth £24,400 more.

      Don’t get me wrong the EV9 is a phenomenal EV but it’s very expensive. Admittedly Peugeot’s recent £10k price cut has really helped!

    What about the Tesla MY 7 seat option

    1. @BEVolutionUK Avatar
      @BEVolutionUK

      It’s not here yet and it also doesn’t have very big rearmost seats

    The efficiency loss of the Peugeot may be due to its larger frontal area (obvious in the end screen) which may be then due to greater spaciousness, so that’s a win too.

    1. @BEVolutionUK Avatar
      @BEVolutionUK

      Both have a drag coefficient of 0.28 (surprisingly)….the E5008 is just older tech, the GLB also had a 2 speed gearbox…

    Great video (as always)guys!

    A worthy winner……Peugeot dropping the price by £10k recently was a clever and necessary move in light of how fast EV tech is moving with new models like the GLB coming to market and the Peaq next. Absolutely love mine!

    I tested both and I can totaly agree with the conslusion. The GLB’s plastic rattled noticeably on bumps, which shouldn’t be in the case of new Mercedes.

    Great video… I’ve had my e-5008 for a few months now and absolutely love it! My 17 year old is more than comfortable sat in the third row, I only use the brake pedal when coming to a complete standstill and in cold weather I’ve still been getting 260ish miles between charges driving in comfort mode. Having the storage under the third row is such a useful use of space too.
