      LOL, I can’t wait to see the sales numbers in 6 and 9 months to see how much company you have between the Tesla Model Y (refresh) and the Porsche Macan. No doubt you aren’t ALONE but your fellow buyers are in quite limited numbers. But Porsche needs a bit more buyers to ensure they stay even in business so please pay the extra and extra again money to get the Macan.

      If you want to get pc or political is Porsche really the Elon alternative?

      Ferdinand Porsche collaborated with Adolf Hitler to design the Volkswagen Beetle and oversaw the factory that produced it. Porsche also designed military vehicles for the Nazi regime during World War II.

    A wee mention of relative efficiency would be useful. My Model Y LR can easily do 4 miles/kWh in winter in the Highlands, I doubt the Macan can get near this. Unfortunately I won’t buy another Tesla while Musk is anywhere near the company. The Nazis bombed my Dad’s house after all.

    Nobody, anywhere, should be promoting a Tesla right now. There is a wider responsibility here beyond that of narrow comparisons. Musk is an existential threat to democracy and as a public service, you need to recognise that. Disappointing that you put commercial interests above that of ethics.

    Opening the glovebox via touchscreen is still my number 1 on the “stupidest car inventions” list of all time. I can’t explain myself, how somebody can came up with this idea and the rest goes like “omg genius idea, lets make this happen”. But yes, absolutely no musk-garbage for me.

    I own a model Y and will not buy another Tesla. It is not a bad car but their service and treatment of customers as well as the quality of some of its components are not great. However, the over riding reason is Elon Musk. I will not support him or his companies.

      Regarding build quality I had a M3 for 100K miles I now have two model y and the quality is much better, Elon is crazy but he doesn’t build the cars , just randomly fires his employees and everyone else, also Audi , unreliable,Porsche hideously expensive, Mercedes not what they once were, there are many reasons not to buy a Tesla but build quality is not one of them.

    I know it is A LOT more money but I feel the inside of the Porche feels a lot more expensive too, I have now seen a couple of Macan ‘s in the metal and it looks so much better in the flesh than on screen. Has a really nice squated sports stance. Lets be honest the Porche will drive 10000% better than the Tesla too. As the Tesla network continues to open up across the world and Europe is it still a reason to only buy Tesla now?

    Not sure if the Xpeng G6, BYD Song L or the Onvo L60 are available in your markets, but those are more closely comparable to a Model Y than the Porsche Macan!

    Kyle Conner’s mom (on Out of Spec Dave) who owned both a MY and a Macan EV summed up the difference between the two nicely, when she said, “Both vehicles will get you from point A to point B, but the Porsche is like traveling first class and the MY is like traveling coach!”
