It’s interesting to remember the times when these small B-segment petrol cars were popular. How times have changed 😅

What’s new about that Polo? It’s the 2021 facelift.

This isn’t new at all. Not even close!! How misleading

I think they are saying it’s new because of the new birthday edition trim level

@dmbdamn5599 maybe but even the car they are showing is a 74 reg and so at least a year old!

Well done, you’ve looked at a sensible very day car, not over sized tanks or racing cars.

Can’t get past the gopping rear lights. Why did they change them?

To match those of the Golf

This Polo looks and feels so dated. I own an older Polo and don’t see any reason to upgrade to this. Overpriced and underwhelming.

That’s one of the very very few dashboard designs I like. I like where the infotainment is and the taco / Speedo is in a proper binacle instead of a tablet stuck to the dashboard like most vehicles. I love it.

All those engines are underpowered for the weight of the car.
On a motorway hill you’ll constantly stir the box to keep at 70mph.
    Still no hybrid or PHEV

Plenty of torque though, as long as it’s a turbocharged version (like most of them).

The German car industry is continue to struggling due to the brisk sales of their main rival: BYD. But for me, VW is not my cup of tea. Controls on aircon is generally the downside of VW nowadays. They don’t return to physical controls which is a not so recommended to own.

It’s a 2016-2018 VW. Same designs, features, materials, switches, screens, dashboard… which it’s a good thing in quality and ergonomics. The issue is this price, using 8-10 years old technologies and materials should make the car cheaper not crazy expensive for a segment B

I had a 2018 edition. Absolutely lovely car let down by the air con. I had to go back to the dealer every month to get the condenser changed and they said sorry there is a bad batch of them. I got so fed up after 18 months I sold it back to the dealer i bought it from losing £4k in the process and bought a Nissan that is far more reliable and won’t go back to VW now. Its a shame as they design some very attractive cars

The Polo design (like the Golf) has evolved, without wild facelifts between generations. Still the most useful everyday segment of car for many of us.

Absolutely, and easy to park and fits easily in garages.

@dogsbodyish8403 Perfect size now, as much room as a Golf from a few years back, and very refined.

    This is joke….wright ?
There is new MG3 in Spain with 115hp petrol engine for 14990 euros or arround 14000 pounds. Fabia starts from 16000 EUR, Clio and Corsa starts from 17000 EUR and Pola is without any reason most expensive car in this class….almost 19000 euros with plastic hubcaps, rubber steering wheel amd manual rear windows.

They keep extending these models to avoid NCAP and WVTA updates. As long as the journalists believe it…
