Shame that VW refuse to listen to requests for knows and switches… Despite this requests being every year for the last 4 years.

I had an id3 for over a year and to be honest the voice control was excellent, I could change temperature, change navigation, volume, tracks, stations and other commands far easier than taking my eyes off the road and fiddling with a button.

The iD Buzz occasionally pops up on great leasing deals. Especially useful when trying to avoid the initial big drop in residual value.

43k for 250 mile range is garbage
I don’t know why any right minded tradesman would get something like this other than if they ONLY ever did short journeys

Oh and the value will tank after a year…like all EVs do

Get a 10k Transit and be better off all round plus you keep another vehicle on the road

And emissions from your 10k transit will kill people.

      Not everything is about money.

I have a mate with one who’s a sparky. Surely being able to work 100 miles away without rapid charging is beyond ‘local only’ kinda work?! Works well for him.

Lol, how many tradesmen do 250 miles a day ?
So travelling to your job 125 miles 🤔 .
If you were talking about deliveries you might have a point, but you are talking about tradesmen that are often driving around their own town or city.

I’ve seen a lot of these around but I guess the design makes them more distinctive then other electric vans. Nice to have a celeb review to give What Car some clicks – best bet is to search for some “living with” reviews to get a better understanding of what 250+ range means in the real world.

Celeb? Lol. Im not interested one bit in what a Z lister has to say about a van!

What’s the buzz with vw cars and the quality of the products? I’m having multiple problems with my Seat. I’m done with european cars.

You bought a VW Group junk, not a European product.

BMW cars are pretty good, though their recent designs are… Iffy to say the best. Their build quality and interiors are really good though.

I’d say exactly the same for Mercedes. Audi are great all round in my opinion, looks and quality.

This is just simply a VW ad.

It’seuropean, made in vw factory. And its a brand from vw group. No more European or American, ever. But you’re rigth about the junk. Only Japanese know how to make quality products.

When something is described as “nice” it suggests that you are struggling to find an adjective which doesn’t suggest bland or mediocre. Not surprising, VW are on a penny pinching exercise to recoupe losses after lying to us over emissions. Cost cutting shows with poor quality interiors. Skoda are the new Audi with VW coming a distant fourth in group.

If it is electric it is not the best in any shape or form. Waste of money, market confirms that.

Not really. Teslas sell like hot cakes. People run them for years. Myself, I have an electric mini on lease. Aside from the range, I have zero problems with it as well, but having run a diesel and now an electric car, the upkeep costs are literally halved with the electric car.

I’m returning the mini and probably getting either a Tesla or the MG cyberster if I like it when I test drive it. I won’t have any range issues with either of those cars.

Electric cars are straight up better for upkeep costs and ride comfort since they’re so quiet and easy to drive.

Thanks for putting the bike in the back. I really wanted the MPV version to go mountain biking to replace my berlingo mpv but I was so upset to see that the rear seats couldn’t be folded or removed. I choose the MPV over a van because keeping 4 seats and bike lugging is a winner for me, along with better insurance, motorway speeds etc.

The other thing that really strikes me 7:33 is the proportion of cargo space to cabin/front end I thought it would be much better on an ev but this looks close to 50:50!

the 1/2 seat set up works very well- no gap between the two..I use as a bed in the eurotunnel crossings. With the very short turning circle the driver has to take care not hitting the kerb with the rear wheels. Navigating the sound and heating in the dark is terrible because that navigation is hardly visibile. Van drives very well. with a bit monitoring the 200 miles is very achievable.

200 mile range that goes down substantially in cold weather. Wind and uphill is not pretty good thats terrible. Especially for cargo vans that are supposed to run around all day.
