I find the prices reasonable for a premium 800V electric mid-size SUV. You have to compare it to BMW iX3, Mercedes GLC 400 and Audi Q6 e-tron. And they are certainly not cheaper and they don’t charge faster.

As soon as he mentioned £56,860, I completely lost interest. Waste of money.

If you were spending £60k on a premium electric SUV, what matters most to you?
    A) Comfort & luxury (I want the EX60’s comfort and Scandi interior) 🇸🇪
    B) Sporty handling (I’d rather the sharper driving dynamics of the BMW iX3) 🇩🇪
    C) Tech & superchargers (I’m sticking with the cheaper Tesla Model Y) 🇺🇸

If it was my money, the Premium AWD Model Y is £6k cheaper than the absolute base Volvo, has greater range, is more efficient, lighter, faster, has more equipment, much better sound system. Definitely go for the Tesla. I really like how the Volvo looks though, and hope it does really well.

Have a 2023 Kona at the moment, which is great, but am considering new for next January. Polestar and Volvo appeal to me and I was looking forward to seeing the EX60. But the news about the Gotion/VW sodium ion battery going into production has me doubting myself and wondering if I shouldn’t hold off another year. Everything is happening so fast in the EV world this year. 😵‍💫

I think the range numbers still need to be mentioned, but could you also quote the efficiency of the car eg range/Kwh of the battery, this will let us know how well the manufacturers are doing, not just the size the battery.

C despite you guys doing everything you could to make it “lose” against ix3. Objectively it remains hard to beat in everyday use.

Would be interesting to hear the opinion of Volvo engineers on those 22″ wheels which must have a huge moment of inertia. No doubt driven by the sales and marketing team.
