The fact there is still a Mondeo being made, but only for China and the Middle East, makes me beyond angry.

From my admittedly very subjective experience, Ford Mondeo and BMW 5-series are the only cars I found with the almost magical property of them molding around you like a well-tailored suit (especially past versions). I don’t know what it is about their proportions and interiors that they just feel “right” for a 6ft/183cm male.

Thanks for the review and always enjoy them. I’m seriously looking at one of these but please please can you start to review some of the more advanced tech. Eg they have a remote parking and trained parking package as part of £1,700 option pack. I want to know if that works well or is it just a gimmick. Same for heat pumps, really worth the £1,100 extra? So please, less time on the rear seat size, which we can easily test in a dealer ourselves and more focus on the tech or features that are harder to check on a 20 min test drive.

Give me a badge at front and back. This trend of spelling the brands name instead of putting badges needs to stop.

As an Enyaq owner for nearly 4 years, there’s a couple of changes inside that are not obvious but will make a big difference. The horizontal trim across the width of the dash (below the centre vents) was previously chrome which often reflected sunlight and could be blinding, now it’s a matte silver and much less reflective. The other thing is getting rid of the piano gloss black around the centre console, which was always dirty and was a pain to keep looking nice after leaving the showroom.

Hi Tony, did u have any software problems or errors affecting the Enyaq directly? VW EV has problems with their EV that I read and know..

@@jansenwilder1335 I’ve had 2 software updates at the dealer up to version 3.2. Not had any issues apart from occasional disconnect and reconnect of Android Auto, other than that it’s been fine. The recent cars have software 4.x and 5.x but haven’t had any experience with that yet.

The Enyaq is fighting against its brother ID4..Xpeng G6, Tavascan, BYD sealion 7… tough SUV market.

I have the Elroq. The only difference seems to be boot space as in half a metre more in the Enyaq. The interior looks identical.

Yes, since they’re built on the same platform and the wheelbase is the same length I would guess that the interior space is more or less the same (maybe some difference in height).

Looks and seems great but why no heat pump as standard?

  10. @AmjidMajeed Avatar

In terms of practicality, I would’ve thought the SUV version of the Enyaq would have an increased boot volume over the coupe, isn’t that the case?

It is but the difference is minimal. We got an 85 coupe last year and in the showroom we had a side by side comparison. There was hardly anything in it so we went for the coupe and it hasn’t let us down. I use a wheelchair and it fits so easily in the back with plenty of room for shopping and a buggy if we’re taking out a little one😊

You have to pay luxury car tax on all but the base 60 version. The government should use a bit of common sense and raise the threshold from £40k to £50K

A used Kia e niro, top trim, 4 years old, full Kia service history and most importantly 3 years left on the warranty, so warranty will expire at the same time as this new Skoda and Kia e niro has longer electric range, more features and less than half the price of entry level small battery Enyaq. For private buyers it’s a natural choice. Also remember electric cars don’t have thousands of moving mechanical parts, so you can buy used electric with confidence.

I have had the new Enyaq Sportline 85X for just over 3 weeks now, and i love it, im more than happy with my choice over the Elroq, im 6ft 6, im an amputee so sometimes need my wheelchair if going somewhere, so the HUGE boot space is perfect, and the sportline 85x came with near enough all the extras on it ( just doesnt have the self parking)

Your review is incorrect, the interior has changed, The Piano Black interior has ben removed and replaced with a grey trim as well as the chrome door handles have changed colour, 85 Edition also comes with a Massage facility for the drivers seat. You have not done your home work!
