    Only a three-year warranty? Doesn’t Peugeot extend that to something like eight years if you have it serviced at a Peugeot dealer?

      Only on the electric models

    I see they’ve kept the toy steering wheel that sits below the dash….

      It’s preferable once you get used it. Feels responsive and sporty

      Every person I know with one says it is great.
      I even remember a friend of mine criticising it and then after she drove one, she absolutely loved the small steering wheel.
      I don’t know myself. I haven’t tried it but every single one that I know and tried it, loved it

      @@TheAllMightyGodofCod going back to a normal size steering wheel, when I’ve rented cars in the past, is an uncomfortable and cumbersome experience.

      @@jamessez5826i am not much of a Peugeot guy, in the Stellantis universe I would more likely go for s Citröen, Alfa or Lancia so I can’t say if I wi ever get one but I will surely try it! Everyone says they drive wonderfully.

      You could buy one of its 10 siblings that doesn’t have it.

    Let’s be real, the golden opportunity for hybrids was over 15 years ago which are less capable than PHEVs by default. But the auto industry then including Toyota were more than happy to flog off turbo diesels as long as they could get away with.

    1. @oliverstemp9132 Avatar
      @oliverstemp9132

      Toyota bought their diesels from BMW for a long time. And small car buyers aren’t so interested in long journeys or PHEV.

    Peugeot do a great “small car”, just the warranty is a bit pants…! So many other manufacturers offer 6 and 7 years.

    I’ve got 208 GT from 2022, 130 bhp. It’s a great car for daily use.

    For me the Renault Clio is the one to get as a small city roundabout, can’t wait to see an updated model coming. For me the Stelantis group products are just lacking on the interior especially infotainment. But one Peugeot 208 I’m excited for is the electric GTI

      It’s not the same lump as the horrific one which eats itself, they’ve dropped the belt for a chain on hybrid versions.

      Stellantis guarantee the 10 yrs or 180, 000 kilometres (subject to correct maintenance schedule, of course).
      A mistake acknowledged and, unusual for a car company, admitted.
      That’s a damned good deal. I can’t think of a better.
      All engines, all of them, have actual or latent problems.

    My 1995 Renault Clio 1.4 did about 45mpg, ok it did only weigh about 815kg and was a manual. But still 50mpg 30 years later isn’t that good.

    I currently use a Renault Arkana etech ,and easily get 55 mpg in real world driving. So would expect more in a smaller car.

    So what if its not a full hybrid. If it runs 50% on electric in stop start traffic and does engine off costing then its got the benefits of afull hybrid at a lower price.

    My issue, it that 3 year warranty. I could get a Toyota Yaris and it come with 5 years warranty, and if (and I would) service it at Toyota and then the warranty extends another 5 years to 10 years.

    Does the puretech engine have a timing chain or a belt?

  18. @ermv Avatar
    @ermv

    I don’t know if this also happens in the UK, but here in Brazil, if there’s a Peugeot on the street, there’s an 80% chance it will have a burnt out bulb 😂😂

  20. @timjenkins8538 Avatar
    @timjenkins8538

    I don’t often buy cars but when I do I make sure it has a Stellantis wet belt engine. Nothing gives me more joy than knowing my rubber cambelt is swimming in boiling oil and rapidly disintegrating by the mile.

      I love a wet belt. They are awesome. Couple it with a stunning 3 year warranty and life is sweet!
