    It’s bigger than the regular MG4, but costs thousands less… 🤔

    Would you buy one? Or would you choose another EV instead?

    B) No! I’d pay extra for the longer range and faster charging of the regular MG4 ⚡

      40kWh is more than plenty for a modern EV, you shouldn’t be pushing unsustainable standards on new cars overblown in size, cost (and profit) with every new generation.

      I am sure it is a great car for the money, however on my list is the FIAT Grande Panda and Renault 4, this MG isn’t on my list, and that is totally down to not wanting to own a Chinese car, and the look of it does nothing for me.

    Be interesting to find out the real world efficiency vs the regular MG4, there’s a suggestion it’s quite a bit better.

      This version is slightly larger than the older version, but lighter.

      @Brian-om2hhlighter and more efficient. One other review had the urban at 4.5 miles per kWh. The regular 4 at 3.6 miles per kWh (something like that)

    Glad to see it entering the market at the competitive end… Being larger than the Renault 5 might be a plus point. But the charging let’s it down.
    However, I would still prefer a Renault 5 as an Urban car.

    Appreciate MG putting it out at a good price but can’t get past the looks… would much prefer they just stuck the smaller battery in the existing MG4 as that looks decent. Hopufully when MG brings out the 2 it will look more like the standard 4 but just be smaller with the small battery and potentially it could then undercut even the Inster. Right now the R5 would be my choice.

      I can’t stand the looks of the original 4. The original 4 has a more complex rear suspension and is real wheel drive. The new cheaper version has a cheaper torsion beam axle and simpler getting wheel drive. The cost savings come from this new chassis. The batteries on the new 4 aren’t that small

      ​@UnknownUser-rb9pd Unfortunately these are 195/60/R16 (I think – it’s just about legible on one of the tyre close-ups). So still about £130-£140 a corner for premium tyres.
