    I love your reviews apart from one consistent issue, you always use the list price and ignore reality. The MG S6 Trophy LR appears to be available for £31,995 which surely changes everything?
    Btw I love how you have made the Christmas office party tax deductable 🎅🎄

      Isn’t list price that decides road tax? Ie over 40k?

    2. @AL-ib3lu Avatar
      @AL-ib3lu

      @AdamYeo-o9lIt is, I am not saying ignore the list price but mention the actual price at the time of filming. Btw from April the luxury car tax will only apply to cars above £50k.

      I think finding the actual price may be quite tricky, so list price, like wltp, is better for direct comparison?🤔

      @AuntieBuddieyes – discounts do vary but some indication might be helpful – testers (Inc what car) often mention this in tests and some cars attract large discounts which make a big difference…

    We really need a massive public pressure campaign to bring the cost of charging down.

      Relying on overseas energy?not a chance!

      @michaeldendulk2230

      @alancobbin could easily be done still. Domestic rates are around 30p/kW, even at the nighttime EV rate of 7p/kW electricity companies are still making a small margin on wholesale pricing. Most EU countries have considerably cheaper charging rates than the UK and we’d need to get the cost down to 50p/kW to make EV charging the same price or cheaper than filling up on petrol (basing my maths on 40 mpg at non-motorway petrol pricing). Seems very achievable to me, with a bit of proper regulation…

      The gov is instead doing the opposite, applying an EV mileage tax!

      Just buy a petrol why put your self true all that stress don’t comply the eu has removed its ice ban if you don’t buy a ev your country will have to do the same

    5. @michaelkilbride2927 Avatar
      @michaelkilbride2927

      @justyouraverageguy9109 but if you dont buy a ev you will make it harder from them dont comply no ev no mileage tax

    Here’s an idea: measure the noise level with a dB meter for each car. They’re pretty cheap nowadays.

      Or better still, they have each a smart phone, which is more than accurate enough for this kind of test.

    ‘Scratchy Plastics’.. Love it ! Drove the original 2 door Range Rover all over Britain, Ireland and France (and CI) for work in ’70’s. Hard plastics everywhere, rubber mats, really comfortable plastic seats. Used a hose pipe on it to wash away any interior mud and dirt. Proper steel Rostyle wheels were more durable too.

    These tests are getting much better – good to see the costs / range analysis done so comprehensively. Also good to see the Citroen being competitive too – well done Stellantis (about time!). Personally, I think the Smart interior colour scheme looks awful – perhaps the other options look better…..

    Another comprehensive video from you guys. Really liking these long trip tests & your round up at the end. ALL very useful for anyone thinking of buying an electric vehicle anytime soon. Looking forward to your next 3 car test, could you include some insurance prices for each car, as this will also have a bearing on the purchase. Keep up the good work & a Merry Christmas to you all.

    I am disappointed that there was no brake test😉
    On serious note I do not understand why is it considered a good bit of design when you have a compartment for the cables down under the boot floor. If the car is used for say vacation then unloading all of that luggage to charge the batteries will be a PITA
