I really wish they would stop using the term SUV for cars like this. They are crossovers at best. To me, an SUV is big Jeep Grand Cherokee or BMW X5. These are just B-segment cars with added ride height and chunky bumpers

It seems to let them get away with charging more for what is basically a super mini

@@wltdo6930everything is all amount maximising profits in spite of its tendency rate to fall, which is why everything isn’t just a crossover SUV, but also upmarket targeting a shrinking pool of consumers just about affluent to buy or borrow enough to keep profits afloat , and this why there’s far less small, affordable cars in 2025

1:37 I thought the name came from ‘stodgy’ and ‘anaemic.’ Like a heavier and slower Rio.

I have the first model for 6 years+ now. The side profile is similar to mine except for front and back. I think Kia kept the body shell of old Stonic just like the new Picanto. Thanks for the review.

You didn’t watch the video, did you? They clearly mention this car is just a restyling of the existing one.

It’s just a facelift. The second the Stonic has had.

I desperately hope this SUV fixation does drop off – surely it has to at some point?

For a car on a now 7 year old body, they’ve managed to make it look quite modern and up to date

22K for at most a 16K car, that price is insane

You could have acted in a carry on film my friend, succesfully.

For this minimalistic quality and space I hope the price will be minimalistic too… but I doubt it will be.

The Stonic has been discontinued in Korea. That tells you a lot. I live in Korea and have a 2019 Stonic and I understand why it’s been discontinued

This is barely a crossover, not an SUV for sure.

SUV stands for Sport Utility Vehicle. This is not a SUV, it’s a super-mini.

the third brake light looks not right for me. they’ve should put a clear version in it, matching to the taillights!🧐

Why are they using the older infotainment software if all the others are using the newer platforms, it should be in line with the Hyundai Kona

I had previous gen car now sold, it was a nice car but when you can have it for 17k euro mid trim like it was end of 2018, now this car is pointless.

Nice updates to the small city roundabout, way better than VW T-Cross or Škoda Kamiq.

SUV, in its dreams, jacked up small car. Looks better than the previous version, but dont like the front & rear lower bumper features.

I like that the display has a traditional-looking speedometer and not a digital number speedometer. Nice looking car though- sadly not electric. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The Skoda Kamiq a Scala on stilts, so it’s basically a C-segment hatchback with bigger wheels. The Kia Stonic is a real B-segment crossover: not much bigger than a Rio.
