    As this is a What Car? video, I wonder how long before they mention Tesla. Ah – 45 seconds – could be a new record.

      Tesla is the benchmark for all EVs.

    I don’t understand why the charging cables aren’t stored in the rear hatch door behind the plastic trim. It seems daft to put them under the boot floor which by definition is a nightmare to get to if fully loaded.

      Cars are rarely fully loaded, and you can easily put the cables in a bag if there is a lot of cargo in the back.

    As a fan of Kia EVs I am not sure the reviewer is right about the rear legroom in the EV4 being the same as the EV3? The wheelbase may be the same but I think as the EV3 is shorter, Kia gave slightly less legroom in the back so they could keep a reasonable amount of space in the boot. Certainly the EV3 has less legroom than my Kia Niro.

      Idl how but he got it wrong the wheelbase is 140mm longer so there’s definitely more rear legroom.

    I Think that EV4 hatchback will be competitor and some kind of successor to cars like Ford Focus and simillar ones ICE models. Totally not for TM3

    EV4 as an estate would have been perfect… but no… hate SUV:s.

    I don’t get it? same battery as the EV3, same space inside (possibly less headroom). Saloon for some reason is 30cm longer but with less headroom in the back and a tiny boot? Why would you buy an EV4 over an EV3?

    1. @irishjg1 Avatar
      @irishjg1

      Yes I totally agree. The EV3 as a package makes more sense. Better efficiency and a slightly longer range may be the only stronger point for the EV4.

      Lots of markets prefer saloons, especially out in Asia. The video does say, Kia doesn’t expect to see many saloons sold in the UK.

    3. @MrKlawUK Avatar
      @MrKlawUK

      @@disarchitected right – I’ve been mostly a saloon/coupe owner for my car history (first CUV now under duress). I don’t mind the saloon part but its longer with no benefit in the interior space? That part doesn’t really make sense. The hatch seems unnecessary considering the EV3

    As a Korean I can’t believe these futuristic vehicles are actually from a Korean company. I’m finally interested in Kia for its design. Huge success!

    Thanks, not keen on the saloon, but the hatchback looks really good.
    Kia and Hyundai have really moved up the charts from cheap basic utility type vehicles to one of the market leaders in the EV world.

    I really don’t understand the lack of 800V, that’s really the unique selling point of the EV6 and Ioniq 5.
    Charge speed >>> range.
