    Will definitely check one of these out as changing company car next year, although those looks take a bit of getting used to!

    A great review of another new electric car . Some useful information gained, as I’m looking to purchase a new car. Great web site.

    KIA Short changing it’s UK customers again by not fitting a heat pump as standard which is important for winter range especially on small battery models.

      They barely make a difference tbh.

      If the Hyundai Inster can have it, it makes no sense as to why Kia don’t add it.

      @@ThrottleBodyTrue. They save about 0.6p per mile if you had it running all the time.

      They make a massive difference if implemented correctly. If it’s always under 32 degrees F then it might not matter as much. But between 32 and 60 it can make a massive difference. Ask any owners of the original Model 3 and the newer ones. Driving range is massively improved@@ThrottleBody

    Another great review. Now, EV3 vs Elroq???

      Sold as the Eloniq in the USA. Will this even come to the US or is it tariffs at 300%?

    The manufacturers really struggle with the cost of the battery …..Kia do a great job but the price is still a hurdle

      @@addsfour3499 It’s still an expensive car, and for less than the EV3 (at least in Norway), you get all wheel drive Model Y, EX30, XC40, ID4, and Model 3.

    The car looks great. Range seems good. Shame it doesn’t have the 800v charging or a heat pump.

    I wish electric cars would redesign the frunk to specifically carry all the cables etc, not for general storage and yes, i like the idea of a key

    Excellent review! From what I understand, the trim shown in the first 10 minutes of your video (EV3 ‘GT-Line S’ 81.4kWh) starts from £42,995 here in the UK and doesn’t come with a heat pump?

      @@Greatdane-qf8kd As it should in all countries in Northern Europe. It’s good for the battery and can be used for preheating prior to recharging.

    EV3 GTS with heat pump at under £40K and you can have my money.

      @@avfc1956 It the V2G/H functionality as well as the heat pump that will tip the balance for me. Australia confirmed the adoption of V2G/H Australian standards for V2G yesterday at the Sydney Motor Show and the EU are actively working with Denmark, Germany and Norway on EU standards as well and are expecting to confirm them within a few months for adoption by the end of 2025. If I’m going to suffer the depreciation loss, I want a car that that will still be up with the standards in 3-5 years time, so I can pay that bubble payment without feeling too bad.

    3. @markymarkreviews Avatar
      @markymarkreviews

      Exactly! And from April 2025, it will attract the Expensive Car supplement for VED so cost another £2k or so over 5 years in road tax as it costs over £40k. Then that GT-S model becomes a dead duck as model to buy. They have to lower the prices still.

    @disarchitected

    Bit of a shame, if you want a 360 degree camera, heat pump and lumbar support, you need to get the top spec car for £45k, with bells and whistles I don’t want like heated rear seats. Ideally the 360 degree camera should be an option on all models, it’s super useful around town.

    You ‘forgot’ to mention there’s no heat pump available unless you get the top spec……

    Very good, but the Hyundai Inster does 90% of what this does for way less a with a heat pump to boot as standard. 🤔

      Yes, but that car has a much smaller battery and lower range.

    Hyundai/Kia has almost full line up lf EV.
    RAY EV(only in Korea)-Casper EV(Inster)-EV3-Niro EV-Kona EV-GV60-EV5(Only in China, near future will introduce in Korea)-Ioniq5/5N-EV6/6GT-eGV70-G80e-EV9
    In this line up, most valuable model is EV3 in this moment. Inster is good but technology is older than EV3.

    @ebutuoyYT

    Given the infrastructure in the UK, most EV owners probably own / rent a house with a drive, even if EVs were cheaper many people in the UK would struggle to recharge then conveniently on a regular basis, this to me is a bigger problem than price.
