I like the look though for me the range/ power specs make me think I should spend a bit more and go for the EV3.

Rear end looks fantastic. Looks butch and well proportioned for such a small car

Front end looks much better than the Inster, I like it a lot. Estimated price seems worth it for the range bump. I personally would really miss the fold-down front seats. As an aside, those front headrests are WIIIIILD, surely they are not the final production version??

The rear looks like they designed the complementary bumper lights, but forgot all about the actual tail lights 😂

The new EV2 looks really compelling and premium for the price, in the Sri Lankan or Indian market i think it is similar to the Kia Syros that had a time catching slaes in India. The design reminds of the new Kia Seltos. I love to see that 2026 is a year where all us motorists are heading out to the cheaper of EV market which we hought would’nt appear in the near future.
Thanks WhatCar for giving us this wonderful information, until next time!

Something happened to designers when they did rear design…

2026 just started and Hyundai Group is back on a roll, this new KIA EV2 looks like a great city SUV, and definitely resembles bigger brothers 😊

The inster doesn’t have a front boot

Need big brand small ev’s below £20k, otherwise china brands will just take over. Maybe Skoda can do an alternative to the Spring for around £17-19k with upgraded batteries etc..

The rear light destroys the beauty of this car. Kia puts the light too low to the bumper.😢

I love the styling – I am sure this will be a very good EV if a little on the expensive side.

Great video, as usual. I’m subscribed to so many car review channels that the What Car review was the first and only channel that I bothered to watch. Keep up the great work.

ICE version of this car is sold in India by the name Kia Syros.

Gone are the days of Kia being the value for money brand. It’s nice looking but will be priced too high (in my opinion) if the estimates are to be believed. I doubt it’ll get the full EV grant in the UK either.

The clay model melted and the rear lights slid down from their natural position 😅

Too bad we won’t see the EV2, VW Polo, or the Inster here in the states. This would be great fit and replacement for my Spark EV. At present my new option would be the new 2027 Bolt or 2023 Hyundai Kona electric. We’re screwed here for a few more years.

Seriously all new cars need a cost cutting checklist. This EV2 looks like most of the switches are real but they might have missed off the rear wiper.
