    According to Wikipedia it’s 77 inches wide… Why do they keep making them so bloody wide!? Some of us like to use car parks!

      Cos it’s an EV that needs to pack in as many batteries as possible to appeal to people and when the car is short you then widen it to expand the usable battery space

    Of liking the interior, looks a lot better than recent ioniqs. But outside it looks a LOT more like an SUV than a hatchback

    I have noticed that “Manos” has become a standard measure for seating in your videos. As in: you have one Manos in the front and and a full Manos on the rear. However the boot is measured in standard “Ginnies”

    Shame they had to make it taller. I supposed that is the price for putting batteries under the floor. Maybe it will look nicer in person, or an N version (not just N-line).
    As someone waiting for a Fiesta/Focus ST replacement, I’d give it a 7/10 (concept was 9/10).

      I was a bit disappointed by the height too, but then I remembered that the Ioniq 5N is a lot lower than the normal Ioniq 5. I will be interested to see what an Ioniq 3N is like; I think it could be a brilliant car.

      Yep. And worse still they’ve done the same thing they’ve done with the EV2 and the long range car gets a weaker motor for who knows what reason – efficiency presumably but it is such a stupid choice. Paying more to get a slower, weaker car is not what customers expect. The only EV hatch of this size slower than this long range version is the e-C3. I don’t get it. Real shame.

    I liked the concept a lot more. It was lower to the ground and a lot more sporty. The actual car looks like an SUV/crossover, rather than a sporty hot-hatch.

      Exactly! Hyundai couldn’t resist jacking it up to please the crossover customers. I suppose making it a crossover gives them more interior space since the batteries eats up a big chunk of the floor

      The concept was gorgeous. The covered prototypes looked like an ugly duckling already like a bad copy of a 90s Mazda 323 C which was ugly already.
      Now it’s unveiled it’s exactly as ugly as I expected.
      Shame, the concept was great. Low, wide, sporty.

      Totaly agree. It’s pretty much the same size as the current Ford Puma which Ford refers to as a compact SUV and everyone else refers to as a crossover. That isn’t necessarily a criticism of Hyundai as the Puma is a big seller, but clearly it isn’t a hatchback in the traditional sense.

      We were thinking that it would be a nice replacement for our Ioniq 5, as we don’t need so much space now. However I don’t know if we could tolerate the rather sedated acceleration, compared to what we currently have available us.
