    Is it really worth the higher price than the Corolla? I don’t think so

      People in UK agree with you, it has performed very poorly in terms of sales.

      Well, it’s a bigger car, it drives better, it has better fuel economy, it has a bigger boot.
      It’s an overall better car than the corolla, but I agree with you that the price is too high; in the US though it costs way less.

    3. @awareofvacuity4238 Avatar
      @awareofvacuity4238

      @@andreazonin I’ve driven both (I own a Corolla hybrid). The Honda drives slightly better than the Toyota, but not by much. In terms of fuel economy though, the Corolla is much better. I’ve got the 1.8 and the average total is currently showing 80mpg (imp). I occasionally get well over 100mpg. Yes, I drive it gently but that’s how you’re meant to drive a hybrid. I leave the fun driving to my Lexus GS250 (which also gets a decent 31mpg average lol)

    4. @pillred5974 Avatar
      @pillred5974

      @@awareofvacuity4238 The problem is that the 1.8 Corolla is MUCH slower than the Civic. The 2.0 Corolla is a better match and has fuel consumption similar to that of the Civic. As you say, the Honda drives better and is, for a lot of people, more practical (a bit dearer though).

      @@pillred5974 driving in greater London, having the instant torque from 0-20 mph is all you need and I often easily beat other traffic off the line in the Corolla. I know it’s not fast at the high end but it suits my daily needs perfectly and I’ve not once wished for more power. Yeah rear space is limited though compared to the Civic I think

    Honda’s might have a higher list price but they often have competitive pcp deals. They are in the most faultless and the driver assistance features are subtle

    Quite simply the lever on the seat back rest allows you lie it down in one motion rather than spending a few minutes rotating a wheel. Essential when taking a quick power nap if your waiting for someone.

      @@HecatombRecordingsHonda is generally ignoring noise insulation for ages. Many other car manufacturers don’t, and it’s a shame for Honda since it cannot make a car more than 20 dollars more expensive to make. The Civic here in Ireland is 50k new, whereas the equivalent in terms of cost is the Toyota Carolla Cross SUV. You could buy a new GR spec Carolla hatchback and have 10k change in your pocket over the Civic.

    Howdy! A ‘Murican from ‘Murica here. I just had a loaner Civic from the dealer while my 10th gen had recall work going on. The dealer gave me a 2025 Hybrid Hatchback Sport Touring (equivalent of your Advance trim).
    Some things I wish us ‘Muricans could get on this car that y’all get:
    Heated steering wheel (Pennsylvania gets some cold winters!)
    Lumbar seat support (not even a manual wheel!)
    Panoramic sunroof
    Rear amenities (HVAC vents, usb charge ports)
    One thing y’all can keep is that button shifter. We get a traditional moving shifter.
    Everything else…loved driving this car! It’s a hoot and a half to drive but easily got 45+ mpg (didn’t have a chance to do a proper fuel economy check at the gas pump). My current 10th gen hatch can fit my whole drum set, holds multiple golf bags for me and my buddies, and helped me move over the summer. This 11th gen civic hatch has a deeper floor than my 10th gen. I won’t argue more trunk, sorry, boot space. My current 10th gen also handles a roof rack with 2 kayaks with ease.
    If Honda finally gets their eAWD system out by the time I’m ready to trade my car, it will be the ultimate crossover-killer.
    Solid review good sir!

    I’ve just traded in my 2023 Sport for a new Advance after 2.5 years and 25,000 miles. It’s a great all-rounder and I averaged 53mpg, with quite a lot of motorway mileage. The changes to the facelifted model are inconsequential (but at least they haven’t spoiled the appearance), I just decided to treat myself to the extra standard equipment on the Advance: leather seats, panoramic sunroof, upgraded stereo and full adaptive LED headlights.
