    Dacia is the clear winner for sure. I would go with a mild hybrid. 517 liters of boot space and all equipment for 25k euros

    In this iteration Duster has a really bloody good look. And MG still being just a generic chinese car. And thats really a big point especially for urban and younger buyers

      Guess that’s why duster has better residual values

      Duster has 1.0 and 1.2 renault engines ,if you have IQ bigger then room temperature you should run away from that engines at all cost ( if you want to keep car after warranty )

      Duster is too pretentious IMHO, trying too much being what it really isn’t. In the long term it may age quicker. MG is more subtle.

    3 year ownership means nothing to most people, 10-12 year ownership is more representative

      Nah It does because no one buys cars anymore, they all have endless debts for the rest of their life getting a PCP, pay a few hundreds quid a month, the return it after 3 years because no chance they can afford the final payment but still want a car, so renew it every 3 years stuck in a endless loop. And lenders celebrate 🥂

      That’s where I’m confused too? My 130hp corsa has a 8 speed

      @@dylanpower1438 I think that it is because they are hybrids. The electric motor is filling in the gaps between gears.

    The Duster takes the win! Much better looks and is a great car overall!

    Duster just looks soooo good
    MG looks like old hyundai …or latest Audi, which is not a compliment 😅

    One thing you can be sure off with what car ,is they will jever recommend any car that is up against a Renault/Dacia vehicle.

    El MG será todo lo que queráis pero la diferencia de ruido cuando hablan dentro del MG y cuando hablan dentro del Duster es brutal…. el Duster está mucho mejor insonorizado

    1. @ikemenbcn24 Avatar
      @ikemenbcn24

      Es cierto, la rodadura del MG se siente mas, pero tengo la sensación de que todo lo demás está insonorizado menos eso, podría ser por las ruedas o porque esa parte en especifico no está insonorizada. Pero todo lo demás y sobretodo el motor, ni se oye. Te lo digo porque lo he probado personalmente xD

    The MG looks much better in the interrior. Also the fake leather seats are a must for me. I don’t like fabric at all. I would have liked the clima control to be physical instead of the volume buttons.

    MG ZS is getting a bit long in the tooth. I think Dacia looks better although it doesn’t exactly have stellar safety for a car that size.

    It’s a really impressive objective analysis, congratulations guys. From my point of view the ZS sweeps away all its rivals in the current market

    Interesting. To me with only 45mpg and average performance the hybrid duster is simply too much. The mild hybrid is just much better value. 45mpg for a hybrid is pretty bad. And the little Renault petrols are quite economical. Some people have got nearly 50 out of the larger jogger.

  15. @paultasker7788 Avatar
    @paultasker7788

    It may have 7 year 80000 mile warranty but the average owner shelled out a lot in repairs with MG in your reliability survey suggesting that items classed as wear and tear were not included and must have been pretty cheaply made.

    @mgmarrison

    If you’re after the most value oriented ZS, just sit tight for more info on the petrol only model, which launches in early 2025.

    I also wouldn’t ignore the massive savings on the out-going model which could save you thousands overall!
    What Car have always had a pretty negative view of the old model, but it has a lot going for it, and you don’t buy these cars because it’s premium (because it isn’t!), but I find it’s a perfectly respectable, great value family car. 👍

    The best one is the cheapest Duster, at £18745 with LPG, in 60k miles you save an additional £4000 on fuel, no useless tech to break, just perfect

    well from what I have read your going to need that 7 year warranty as the engines are poor and not very reliable On the MG car I agree with you guys the Ncap on the Duster could be better the last review I watched was saying it missed out on a 4 star due to some of the electricery aids on collision cyclists and people things of that nature and as you said the Dacia is a very nice car to look at interior is no frills wipe cleen dash simple to keep looking good great review keep up the good work .

    What’s the difference between mild hybrid and full hybrid if full hybrid isn’t a plug in hybrid ?

    1. @angrymuffinsb Avatar
      @angrymuffinsb

      Mild hybrid works as a sort of coasting battery. So as you slow down it’ll shut the engine down, and it’ll give you a (very) minor boost when you pull away. But you’ll never be able to run on pure electricity.
