3:12 Aaaaand there’s the deal breaker. May my 7.5 GTI live forever.

I’m convinced the 7.5 golf is peak car. Even the 1.4tsi. it was all downhill from there

BMW facelifts of late have always made the cars look worse. The “new” 1 series and the facelifted 3 series instantly come to mind

I see a Ford Fiesta look to this

It’s weird because Kia’s next Ceed (the K4 hatchback) looks more like a BMW in its side silhouette than the current 1 series

BMW`s should not look like a Ford Focus

Yes, I really thought it was a Focus! Not great if you’re looking for a premium product over the mainstream options.

What happened to ‘The Ultimate Driving Machine’? BMW have lost the plot.

Now BMW managment are firmly committed to the “the ultimate lgbt machine” as proven with the neue klasse.

Horrible; first BMW make SUVs , then they go for FWD hatchbacks.

I’m convicned that people who design car interiors now don’t drive.

Somehow the pre-facelifted Kia Ceed looked better … especially the PROCEED.

3:25 You gotta question why BMW got rid of that physical rotary button — was it cost saving? Doesn’t make a lot of sense right?

    😠😠

As a former E46 owner and lover of the brand, the BMW of today is an utterly valid shell of what it used to be, catering to those who just want to show off, with no real appreciation for driving dynamics. I switched to Toyota/Lexus a while ago and haven’t looked back.

The move to full touch screen is yet more evidence that car manufacturers just don’t listen. I’ve yet to see a single person being happy about it. And why isn’t there a manual gearbox option? At least it doesn’t have the other stupid feature – fake exhausts. Think I’ll stick to my 2022 Mazda 3. Better reliability, physical knobs and buttons, fantastic Bose sound system, no annoying touch screen, a fraction of the price, better looking, way better equipped with no need for expensive options and two real, actual big bore exhausts as standard, that emit plumes of steam out the back on a cold day. What more could you want? 😂

So as testec £45k are you mad BMW? For a 3 cylinder 1.5 front wheel drive entry level ?

It seems that car manufacturers are ignoring consumers in favour of squeezing very last ounce of profit. We’ve been complaining for years about touchscreen and haptic nonsense but the fact remains … it’s cheaper to produce than tactile switches on mass. Shame.

  19. @peterming Avatar
    @peterming

They fitted the new cars with bings and bongs for active safety features, but then making the driver prodding and probing the touchscreen while driving. Quite the contradiction.
