Real-world testing like this highlights something important. When technology is intuitive from the first interaction, adoption tends to accelerate without needing heavy explanation.

That’s the way to go. Educate people. They will tell even more people about it. btw: Moses would be an amazing host, too

Pity most people buying new cars are 55 year old petrol heads who think the most important thing is impressing mates with a badge and the noise it makes.

    Love the video, great content.
I can’t wait to have an EV Van to replace my Vito 119, I would like lots of power and range, for me I find EV driving much less stressful than an ICE vehicle much more enjoyable 👍👍👍

If it’s any help I’ve driven an EV from Milton Keynes to Lerwick in Shetland. 230+ miles between charges. Range was not an issue.

What about testing the AC Ace Electric?

Such a great way to overcome all the anti-EV propaganda out there – should be a nationwide version of this with the government getting car makers to join forces and educate the public – and reduce our addiction to imported oil.

Good content. Need more of this. So many naysayers who know nothing about actually driving an EV.

Good video and I appreciate its concept. One criticism…….you do realise there is life north of Worcester!!!!! Perhaps a less southern centric tester base next time….just a suggestion.

you missed out the problem area of charging – do any of these 4 live in a house where they can charge at home? and how about teaching them about the different public charging options and what its like to use them – the easy bit is driving

I didn’t notice immediately that it was an MG advert, but that said, it was interesting to hear what the testers said which is applicable to any EV.

Should have put them in a MG4 Xpower. The comments about instant power then…. 🙂

Great video as always guys….more like this please.

One thing. It would have been nice to have a wider age range of users….I think younger people are far easier to win over. 😁

The first time I drove an EV, was a delivery van, Fiat Ducato electric.
I felt the same way as the testers in this Video.
That week, I registered for the city mobility club in my city & I began taking their Renault Zoe because I can & just for the experience. 😂

It was fun, easy to break the speed limits, instant ooomph on pressing the accelerator, no engine noise.

    What’s not to like? 😂

i now have the 43kwh battery version of the MG4 Urban Comfort, after previously owning the 51 kwh rwd MG4 SE. the urban is the EV the feels the most accomplished in this category. It prioritises space, ease of driving (fwd, not overpowered, stiff chassis and predictable handling), and economy: i regularly meet or exceed WLTP figures; in normal mode with the HVAC on I currently get 4.8 miles/kWh average. Often times on shorter or more ‘urban’ trips i get way more, especially if i drive in ECO mode, when i’ve seen in excess of 6 miles/kwh on some errands.
The interior feels finished, the hard plastics aren’t as hard or scratchy as in the previous mg4, and the software feels complete and bug free, unlikely to require an update soon (unlike the first mg4 which required several updates to some of its core systems)
