Lamborghini Urus SE Review – Just an Overpriced Audi Q8?

The brand-new Lamborghini Urus SE costs a shocking ₤ 270,000 when fully specced, and loads 789bhp from its twin-turbo V8 plug-in hybrid powertrain. But look carefully within and you'll find steering wheel buttons and screens from the much cheaper Audi Q8. So, are you simply paying a huge premium for a raving bull badge and some jet-fighter switches?

Read our complete extensive evaluation on every new cars and truck, including the Lamborghini Urus, here:

In this evaluation, we check the heaviest, most powerful Urus ever made to see if the brand-new plug-in hybrid system has ruined the ultimate sports SUV. We test the declared 0-62mph time, check out the insane ₤ 13,000 optional wheels, and take the Urus on a rough B-road to see if the suspension can conceal the huge 2.5-tonne kerb weight.

We also have a look around the jet-fighter-inspired interior and the jeopardized 450-litre boot. Finally, we break down the frankly ludicrous choices list (consisting of ₤ 1200 red brake calipers!) and deliver our decision: Should you spend ₤ 270k on the Lambo, or buy a Porsche Cayenne S for a fraction of the rate?

Let’s say I won the Euromillions last night. I’m really trying here, but I still have absolutely zero desire to own this thing. It’s just an awful-looking car, in my opinion.

If you had a quarter of a million to spend, which super SUV are you taking home? 🏎💨

    a) Lamborghini Urus SE
    b) Aston Martin DBX 707 S
    c) Porsche Cayenne S (I’d have loads of cash left!)

I saw one of these in the flesh in town the other week and was mighty impressed. Much better than pictures suggest. Big but gorgeous.

So I’m no fan of it but if it allows them to make their supercars then so be it.

I’m kinds done with car reviews when the presenter spends more than a minute rambling on about the interior tech.

As a Porsche owner for many years now , I currently drive a 2020 Cayenne s e hybrid coupe , re mapped , it’s a phenomenal car . I really like the Urus but there’s no getting away from the facts previous generations were 95% Audi .

Couldn’t stand that bloody row going on all the time! Somehow – despite me having once visited the Lamborghini factory – I don’t think I’m the target audience 😝
