Yeahhhh, my favorite EV program, thanks to all for the work.
We have been riding cabrio’s and coupes for all our live, but dont have the $ for the Cyberster.
So, we are anxiously awaiting our ë-C3 Max, (11kW AC charger, black with white roof)
We will have to be patient till end October .😁

Please don’t choose that mustard colour sample on your wall. That with all that dated orange pine will be too much!
(The spooky door opening was a highlight!)

The Spanish word for frunk/froot mixes frente (front) and Maletero (luggage holder) maleta is a suitcase. I like it. 😊

The insta reminds me of some of the beige cooking gadgets my grandmother used to have from the 50s. Wouldn’t be surprised if it came with a tobacco faded yellow floral wallpaper interior decor option

Intelligent Octopus is 6 hours (11.30-5.30) at 7p per kwH

Not quite, it’s 6 guaranteed hours but I often charge during the day and get the same lower tariff I get during those 6 hours, not only for charging the car but also for any other electricity I use in my home. As I don’t have a home charger and just plug to the 3 pin wall socket and charge at 2kW, almost all electricity I use is at the lower rate, a lot more than just the 6 guaranteed hours. That’s why when they said Ovo was cheaper than Octopus it was not true as they use a different system that doesn’t give you the cheaper rate during the day.

Just sitting minding my own business listening to the podcast on YouTube and boom, I heard my name as you read my comment. I nearly gave myself whiplash checking if I had heard right! Haha 😂 as always, I love the channel and the reviews, guys!

Welcome back podcast!!! You were saying you’d like to see larger EV’s with smaller batteries – I’d like to see a small affordable EV with a huge battery! When you can’t charge at home, or at work, a range of 400+ miles would reduce the number of times sitting at a pubic charger.

A couple of points. Tom should have referenced the Octopus Agile tariff. I have solar and battery as well as an EV but don’t have a compatible charger or car for the Intelligent tariffs. If you use the Octopus Compare app which I recommend it seems that I’m still better off with Agile than either the dumb Go or Flux tariffs.

Secondly for Ginny if her tumble dryer, which will be much hungrier for electrons than her washing machine, doesn’t have a built in delay put a plug-in one into the wall socket, program it for midnight to 5am and plug the dryer into that!

Lastly I agree with Tom that neither the latest Kona or the Inster are easy on the eye. The latter has a face like Farage😂

Great podcast. Just wanted to add reasons to buy Q8 over Q6
    – Better seats. You get indivudal countour seats with massage and ventilation. Probably one of the best seats in the market, but it is an expensive option (Q6 can only massage OR ventilation depending on seat option)
    – Better rom in second row.
    – Interior quality. More expensive material and options. As en example you cant get the Q6 with full leather dashboard

Oh thanks Ginny. Dave here again! Just stunned to hear my comment read out. At the moment I’m driving an eGolf and we can still get wheelchair, me, partner and dog into it. But in the future the Alpine Renault 5 derivative is on my wish list ! Though I’d love to be able to get everything into a Cyberster, I don’t think that’ll happen.

Hi Tom, octopus intelligent go has 6 hrs of cheap rate between 1130 and 0530 @7 ppkwh. Plus when the grid is green outside of those time octopus still allow you to charge at the cheap rate outside the 6 hour slot 😊
