#electriccars #podcasts #kilwowatthalfhour

Today, the team talk about the Polestar 4 (the and truck without any rear screen), Jeep's born-again Wagoneer, 's EX30 problems and Peugeot's chatty future. Plus, the group help out listeners with their automobile buying conundrums.

Every week, the Electrifying.com meet online to talk about all the important matters at hand. Such as the weather condition, what we're all having for our tea and who discarded who in last night's Love Island. In between these heavyweight subjects, we likewise talk about electric automobiles. A lot. Probably an unhealthy total up to be honest.

And when we do discuss , we learn a lot. From industry gossip to the more ordinary functionalities of and truck ownership, it's the place where we dish the dirt on the cars and trucks we have actually been driving and provide our own verdicts on the most recent and truck . We also like to have a great laugh at the daftest little bits of anti-electric that we have actually seen in journalism.

We can't assure that you'll find out much. You probably won't. However if you fancy 30 minutes of idle chat and gossip about the world of electrical vehicles, we're here for you. If you like it/ dislike it/ think it's too long or too brief, let us know. Oh, and if you can think of a terrific name for our pod, stick your recommendation in the comments listed below.

@@ians3328 I hope you are enjoying your XC 40. I would prefer one to a Polestar because volvo has an established dealer network.

@@adamsgarfy25 Yes I wanted a good dealer network too and used it yesterday when they changed the windscreen for the cameras steaming up.
Free loan car C40, full of electricity. All very easy.
Happy with the choice, yes it could be more economic on electron use but they are so cheap on overnight tariff no real issue.

You asked if we mind the Half Hour being a bit longer – definitely not. A weekly news update format should run as long as it needs to, thank you.

Amis aren’t NCAP rated…..the standard car needs to be offered with the optional bum-bag from the buggy..s(h)orely needed! (the Smart EQ is NCAP rated)

How can a Polestar 4 with 100 kWh battery have the best sustainability amongst the Polestars? I’ll wait for the full report. It’s bigger and likely less efficient than the Polestar 2. I know Polestar have said their supplier’s emissions were the big problem with their first tries, being Chinese built cars.

Keep the show to 30 minutes(ish). You could always do two. Occasional one show on ‘post bag’ only would go down well.

Waiting all week for the best Electric podcast. 👍
    Less materials, less carbon footprint . . . . . stop building 4-door EV’s, specially these behemoth SUV’s.
Build 2-door EV’s, like what was normal the last 100 years. pull the front seat to the front and go sit in the back . . . what is wrong with the people the last 25 years, don’t they have backbones anymore? Are they all invalids that cant get in the back without 2 extra doors ? . . . . . that 1 time per year, that you are not alone in your car but more than 2 ?
That Fiat 500e would have been our 1ste EV, if not for the insane price of . . .€38.000 for the Cabrio version. We will wait for the Renault R5 E-Tech, (with a sunroof 🙂 )

Not sure why the eye rolls on ChatGPT integration. Natural speech is clearly the next step, rather than having to learn/remember specific commands.

Talk about rear view cameras, Genesis kindly loaned me a GV60 Sport + for a week in January, an amazing car, however it was fitted with the rear view door cameras – these are great during the day, but potentially dangerous when it’s dark, especially when wet. The glare is intolerable.

I think 30-35 minutes is about right, but possibly with a longer one once every month or two.

About te Renault R5 E-tech it was said, it would start around the €25k mark for the 44kW LFP battery 320km range version. (as competition with the Ciroën ë-C3 ).
The 400km, bigger battery version should start around €28.000.
    That was what I heard.

Polestar 4 not an SUV but probably closer to a CUV/Crossover. Jeep Wagoneer has been around since the 70’s was the premium model vs the Cherokee at that time. Ginny/Nicola agreed on the jingle, keep it up just to annoy the other two if nothing else. Amazed you haven’t moved to an hour or 45-60min at least but name as Kilowatt Hour Podcast is also good.

Glasses wearer here but don’t think I’ve driven a car with a screen for a mirror but I reckon the thing about focal point is right. Ok for me though, drove busses for a while back in the eighties and i still dont bother with rear view mirror, just use side mirrors. I’m taller than my wife and so I cant see in the rear view in her position. We’ve got an Ioniq 38kWh which of course has got a bar across the window anyway so rather than keep altering the mirror every time I get in it I just leave it for my wife. Speaking of specs I find the light from the screen really plays havoc with them at night but then its a bit new fangled for me after the old Skoda Roomster!
ChatGPT: will it understand me any better than any other voice assistants?? Probably not 😂
