    41:29 Even my BMW i3s from 2021 with 184 HP and 270 Nm does 40-65 mph in under 3.5 seconds. And by the time you have downshifted in an ICE car the EV is already halfway through that acceleration time frame.

    Fronteras are popping up everywhere here as well. Though they are sold on price I think it’s reassuring that people are buying a lower range EV and realising that this is adequate for real world usage and ignoring the mythical 500 mile without stopping journey that many people have in their head.

    I think Mike is right and an Inster is certainly worth a look at for Emma. Like all cars you need to see it in the flesh to make sure it suits your needs, take an O2 for a test drive. Had mine for over a year now, my 3rd EV, and I am very happy with it. Small, flexible, and pretty efficient too.

    My Renault Megane Etech is very quick 40 to 60+ It’s not very heavy, with 220hp and 300nm.

    Hi All, still loving the podcast. Now, you were talking about efficiency last week. I know my Mercedes EQC is far from being efficient, BUT, I was very impressed with the guessometer. I had 100% charge which gave me 224 miles. I had a 200 mile round trip from home on the south coast to Banbury Oxfordshire, so I was checking out where I would need to charge on my return journey. Well, I got to 180 miles and I thought I could probably get home without charging, anyway by the time I got home and covered my bang on 200 mile trip I was very surprised to find I still had 24 miles left. Most was motorway or dual carriageway and I stuck to within 3 or 4 mile an hour of the speed limit (above, sshhhh😱🤣) I’ve driven a few ev’s and none have been bang on so very impressed

    In answer to Nick’s overtaking question. In my experience, an EV has no problem going from 40-65 faster than an equivalent BHP ICE car, with none of the messing about, getting the correct gear, building the revs, getting a turbo on boost, and so on.
    Our own Ioniq 5 is brilliant at overtaking, with 40 to 70 taking just a couple of seconds, by which time the car being overtaken is a small speck in the rear view mirror.
