Kia already have better models on sale over here in Brunei, complete with remote opening sliding doors! UK and Europe only gets a small section of what Asian car makers actually sell. Chinese brands are really taking off here too, Toyota is worried, and they should be: Xiomi and BYD are really selling well in this tiny country which is run by Shell!

Do you think the Kia PV5 looks cool and futuristic or look like an Amazon delivery van? 📦🚛

We managed to fit 16 suitcases in the boot (way more than in a Tesla Model Y), but is that enough to make you give up your SUV?

    a) It looks awesome, I’d drive it! 😎
    b) Looks like I’m delivering parcels… sticking with an SUV 📦
    c) Like it, but I’d pay extra for a VW ID Buzz 🚌

The wheels look like an after thought, almost as if the designer forgot to add them and at the last minute they added some tiny wheels from a Picanto 😂

      C. I’d rather have a nearly new Buzz than a new Kia PV5. The Kia is a lot more utilitarian.

They really should have given us the interior colours available in other markets and why no opening rear window to aid loading? But this is interesting!

@boyjohn9647 We’ve driven both, for us the PV5 is the better vehicle, but then we like vehicles which actually do the job rather than being styled first then trying, and failing, to do the job.

I sat in one at the showroom yesterday and I noticed the rear view mirror is too wide and too thin for the rear window! Such a shame because it would have great rear visibility if they got that right!

Kia are killing it at the moment! This is a brilliant car. If they made one with a long range and decent power it would be even better.

It would also be more expensive.

I’ll be honest, it needs a 100kwh battery and 800v charging option, it needs better lights and interior needs to be a bit more engaging and you’ll find it’ll do well for families and business. That current spec won’t make people convert

Thank you for a great review. I have one on order. I had driven an Idbuzz and thought the vehicles were pretty comparable. I also thought the exceptionally front door low window line made up for the thick A pillars to a large extent. The door mirrors are also brilliantly positioned to mitigate any obstruction to view forward view. I noticed the boominess but not very different from the idbuzz I drove. I found the performance pretty good (160hp version) it’s worth saying that it’s noticeably faster than the MGB I used to drive! Perhaps we want to drive faster nowadays? Maybe going a bit slower might mitigate any deficiency any pedestrian safety concerns? Just a thought. Thank you for a clear review.

This looks utilitarian I love it, can’t wait for the PV1/PV2 of a size I’d actually want.

Not bad, but considering it’s so easy to add more power to BEVs, I’d really like a bit more oomph in such a large vehicle.

Addison Lee are writing a very large cheque as we speak, not entirely convinced 67kWh is enough, but this has and will have taxi written all over it

On the price, the Kia PV5 is definitely better, but overall, I would still go for the more stylish iD BUZZ 😉

Kia have done the same with this as they have with the Sportage and Sorento with regards to dull black/grey interiors. Again in just about everywhere else these cars are sold they are offered with a range of interiors colours. I owned a Kia Sorento and when I went to replace it I was informed that it could only be bought with a black interior. This after I had watched a number of reviews showing the car with a lovely Tan or light coloured interior, also for less money than we have to pay. I didn’t buy a new Kia because of this lack of choice.🤬
