Great review as always Nicola, but (re the hair) when can we expect the video of you on the motorbike 😂😂😂?
On a serious note though, the switching on of the wireless charging : could that be saving 100 millimeters of range by making sure there’s no power things that don’t need it until they’re on?
Keep up the fab work 😊

I can say with great certainty that Nicola has become my favourite auto reviewer. Plenty of car reviewers have charisma, but Nicola is something special! Can’t wait to have Electrifying put her in the upcoming all-electric, 1000 BHP Ferrari 😄

The reason you can wireless charging off in a work van is it means you can use that slot for storage for a delivery PDA or scanner that do not always like being cooked by an always on wireless charger, especially devices that read rfid tags on packages

you can turn of the wireless charging in any vehicle as far as i know

It can definitely be turned off on our Ioniq 5. I leave it on all the time though, as it doesn’t actually do anything until a suitable phone is placed on the pad.

We love the PV5, and it could be a consideration in the future. Never thought I’d say that about a van.

Shoehorn a bigger battery (more range) into it, and release a “camper” version, and I’m all in.

The PV 7 would probably have a proper camper version

The camper van and some other cases might want a bigger battery. Those V2L outputs may get a lot of use by a tradesman. When camping, you will use it to cook dinner.

Kia are certainly smashing out some nice vehicles. Years ago you wouldn’t give Kia a second look. Definitely would like a EV3 in white , it’s kinda “ Stormtrooper “ Esq. Great watch as always.

Can’t wait for the camper to make production OMG! 🤩 Just saw a video of the Kia PV5 cargo and I’m already picturing it as the ultimate camper van. That retro-futuristic style is 🔥, and packed with the latest tech? Yes, please!
It’s the perfect size to take on the VW Ocean & California.

Real world I’ve done 50000 miles in a 75kwh long wheelbase e expert with tools and a roof rack. I get 130 max range off a claimed 200. This van looks great. If it can actually do 180 miles that would be amazing for me., as my typical big work day is 200 miles max. But a 90kwh battery option would make it perfect, I could charge only at home for 7p a kWh.
