Will be the best compact EV on the market, well done, the just introduced KIA EV3 is already old news. Styling looks good, interior looks great and specs and price are alright.

As much as I like Kia’s new design look, I also like this Skoda….

Two good cars potentially. Kia warranty and reliability beats VW group cars however. The EV3 will have 600km range too.

Kia will have to adjust their price level… very good 🙂

I quite like this. Very Skoda Understated, practical. Unlikely to set the pulses racing, but in the end better. I like the new front end design, although I wish they’d stuck to the skoda badge.

Ah yes, the flying chicken badge. I always give my badge a little polish occasionally. (Kamiq owner here) The new name badge is probably part of the new design elements. I don’t mind it personally….. As with most Skoda’s, it’s the little design details that add to the practicality. Who would have thought of a net on the underside of the rear parcel shelf, to store the charging cable? My new 2001 Fabia Tdi Estate was the first car I’d seen with little hooks in the boot for carrier bags, and little sliding storage drawers under the front seats…..boy could that car move, even on 100 bhp. A friend of mine who drove it seemed convinced it had the 130 bhp diesel in it…. Oddly, my Kamiq, with 110 bhp doesn’t *feel* as nippy, although it is much quieter and smoother than the Fabia was. But then I am almost 70 years old, so perhaps it’s that…..

It drives really well too. I had it on the test circuit

We have a Karoq at the moment, and that’s a great little car – does everything we ask of it as a family, and EV version will be even better.

Loving Skoda of recent years, this looks to be an awesome family option and if I wait a couple of years for some lovely depreciation, then I’ll happily consider grabbing this for my family!

I watched this earlier but it went all “private”on me 😳

It tends to remind me of “breaking bad” with the name..🤔

    El-roq El-Camino 🤔

Great timeless chunky styling outside! Why has Skoda waited so long to get this simply shortened version of the Enyaq to market?

Looks smart and no swollen grill, it’s not really a “Stupid Ugly Vehicle”, have to call it a “NTV”, nice tasteful vehicle. Those umbrella holders are super useful for light sabres too if you have the force.

I’m sure Elroq was a character in the lord of the rings? I’m sure it’s fine but I do think that all modern SUVs look pritty much the same and if you took the badges off you would be hard pressed to tell who made them. It would be nice to have cars designed by designers again and not customer focus committees. That said it’s electric which is good and if I had a use for that type of car I would buy one, as it is I’m probably going to get either an MG5 or an Enyaq.

Is it based on VW’s MEB platform? Do they still have sliders in the infotainment system?

They’ve put those new smart dials in the Superb. Seems silly to miss them in the new releases.

First impression I don’t see much value in this EV. The design is neutral, European, inconspicuous. Battery choices and prices are in my view weird and confusing. The choices don’t sound tempting in any class with this EV design. Interior is clean. I’m immediately put off by the dominant screen on the center dashboard. With an inconspicuous design I rxpected a neutral dashboard. I would get rid of the center screen and rather blendvit into the dashboard, make it 10 inches max. The front passenger areas look compact, boxed in, claustrofobie and looks to have little leg room. I prefer a more open front passenger area. Back seat area is okay. I do unsterstand and agree with the presenter’s confusion of the storage areas and bins. Rear boot is okay. Storage net under the parcel shelf is an impractical gimic in view. I think a cable storage under a false floorir sides in the boot or front storage makes more sense in the long run practcal ergonomic design. I think the the front bonnet design looks too long. I think for future EVs a much shorter bonnet for more interior space makes more sense to me from a genetal practicality standpoint. I understand frontal compaction zones for safety, but I think it looks more like old ice desgn and makes EVs look dated in 2024.

Do love a Skoda, had them for years but the Enyaq seemed just too ridiculously big after our Roomster. Went for the Huyndai Ioniq 38kWh for our first EV instead, now totally spoilt for mileage, can’t contemplate a car whose best is 4m/kWh when that’s our worst winter figure and 6’s and 7’s are what we get in summer. Will we get a driven video with a consumption guide soon, pretty please?
Great to know there’s a whole bank of Skoda electric cars coming along in quick succession though. 👍

I am a real Hyundai and Kia Fan, particularly in EV ofcours! Normally I not a fan of the Volkswagen Group branding. However, the Skoda is a great one! This Elroq looks great, and it is cleverly built 👌.

I know the Skoda is the smartest child in the Volkswagen group school! 😂 Volkswagen hates for that! 😂😂😂

But I’m still going for the Kia EV3!

Looks great. Love Skoda and had one of the pre-VW. I’m happy the car has a name (sick of 3,4,5 etc.) and the link to Karoq is great.

I do not understand why all new cars dont have the charge port at the front or rear passenger side. Makes it easier to charge at tesla network and that makes sense for everyone.

I’ll miss that badge though as it is awesome.

Their simply clever stuff is simply clever…that charge cable!

If they can not sort out their ‘packs. Takes a reasonably priced car from fair to expensive and very difficult to understand the specs when buying or selling 2nd hand,

I like it. I also like my Kia EV6, but to honest, when the lease runs out I would like something a bit smaller. I was thinking of the Kia EV3, but this looks like an option. I would have it in the 85 RWD though.

The new infotainment is the same on all new VW group EVs now. They all have those permanent virtual buttons along the button and they are all 13″, apart the ID7 which is 15″

I love my Enyaq (85x sportline, it’s a beast) and another Skoda EV is very welcome, especially as the new tech in the Elroq will probably end up in the next gen Enyaqs. What I really want though is an Octavia Estate sized EV.
