FIRST LOOK: Has Mercedes finally got it right? Is the New electric CLA star-worthy? | Electrifying

#MercedesCLA #electricmercedes #electriccars

hasn't had the very best start with its electric automobiles, however here is the model which could alter all that– the CLA Idea.

This is the vehicle which will end up being the CLA and underpin a set of brand- SUVs too. It's intended right at the Tesla Model 3 and the Model Y.

And it does not simply resist with the looks – it has the numbers to back it up too. How about a series of 466 miles? Performance of 5.2 miles per kWh? Or charging speeds of around 250 miles 15 minutes?

It's the first Merc with an 800 V electrical architecture, like the brand-new Audis. That provides it 250 kW DC charging, which is outstanding but not particularly unique, but it has a longer peak to cut times in general.

The motor, powering the rear wheels, is 235bhp, which is not almost adequate to worry a Model 3 – but it is paired with a two-speed transmission. This enables the motor to be made more efficient and improve acceleration.

Inside the stunning interior is a blend of analogue and digital, with real-time graphics powered by video gaming innovation. For instance, the vents aren't vents at all, they are elaborate screens which manage the temperature setting.

There's even a lit up aluminium and glass display for the digital brain of the Concept CLA Class, called the -Benz Operating System (MB.OS).

There’s no way that interior will make it into production, however even if 50% of the external styling on this thing makes it into production, it’s going to be stunning.

My first thought was that it looked like a dentist appointment sitting inside the car ๐Ÿ™‚ Outside looks nice, but far away from older classic Mercedes designs inmo. But its a trend among all car brands right now.

All they need is the shape, front swooping light bar and headlights. It will be a hit seller. Interior can mostly match whatโ€™s in todayโ€™s cars and it would sell!

they already reached a worldrecord with it…3770km in 24h and an average speed of 155km/h…including the charging stops!!!…they drove 210km/h.
We will see the introduction early in 2025…but most likely sold later in 2025 oder 2026.

They charged it for best loading speed from 5 to 50% in 8mins!!!

The even earlier prototype of the CLA Tech…the EQXX…achieved 8kwh/100km driving 120km/h…they drove from Stuttgart to Silverstone…but the Battery was not empty…means they drove around Silverstone a little bit to empty it…1200km range using 100kwh Battery in this case.
Seems they are able to transport a lot of this tech into the new MMA Platform…which is meant to be at 12kwh/100km.

Been saying for years that EVs need an overdrive gear and finally!! Get that mainstream and efficiency will be through the roof across the board.
If that’s the only thing that remains from concept to production allong with the overall design, it will have seriously moved the market on.

They are drawing a lot on the EQXX with this one, so Iโ€™d expect it to be very efficient in the 60-80mph range, and it sounds like it charge at Taycan like rates as well. Could be an excellent cross-continent cruiser
