      I think quite the opposite .. new Version 1 technology from Land Rover a company known for faults and unreliability .. recipe for bad times in my opinion. Maybe once its matured.

      It wont. The engines are fine now since its a bmw engine. The biggest problems with Range Rovers have to do with the electrics.

    How many 350kW chargers does there need to be before you stop doing to the “IF you can find a charger fast enough” bit? Because whenever I’m on a long drive in UK they are pretty easy to find.

      @CharlieGB03

      I suppose they mean if you’re on a long journey you’ll find one easier than going around town. I suspect that’s when the 350kW chargers are hard to find.

    3. @szabiszekely Avatar
      @szabiszekely

      they have to mention this as otherwise someone who’s not into electric cars will assume that it will charge with 350 kW regardless.

    4. @timoliver8940 Avatar
      @timoliver8940

      Not many chargers (even 3kW kerbside chargers) in the places that this car is capable of going and I bet offroad you won’t see anywhere near the claimed 300 miles range. I took a Jaguar I-Pace off-roading and everything was very very impressive except it simply haemorrhaged electrons out of the battery

      It must be, EVs are super reliable and have wayyy fewer moving parts.

    2. @MrDAVIDATKIN Avatar
      @MrDAVIDATKIN

      Range Rover aren’t noted for their reliability, so it wouldn’t take much to be more reliable. With less to go wrong as with all EVs you would hope JLR have pulled it off.

    3. @Neojhun Avatar
      @Neojhun

      That’s a low bar, LR would have to have a total mess to be as bad as their ICE powertrain.

    4. @chrispnw2547 Avatar
      @chrispnw2547

      @toby.maximillian Must be? A 1st generation anything from JLR has historically been anything but reliable. I’d wait a few years until the vehicle gets sorted out (especially that dual stack battery and the ‘puncture resistant casing’.

    An electric Range Rover is a Range Rover and there will always be a market for them, especially amongst those for whom the price is irrelevant. It will replace some very polluting cars. I think that JLR need to get hold of some solid state batteries ASAP.
