    No Tiguan mentioned? Wow

It’s a vehicle, has utility (but what doesn’t), and completely lacks anything sporty. In other words, a hatchback with plastic trim.

Qashqai Tekna +, was the best car I have ever owned. The level of sophistication, ride quality and comfort, for the money, was fantastic. What came as standard, would have cost thousands of pounds, in extras, in something like a BMW or Mercedes. 😎👍

Really a fan of the Citroen EC-5 , just struggling with the strange lights on the front and rear.

No Tiguan and Tayron? No Karoq and Kodiaq? Really? What is so wrong with them that neither could make the top 10? Are they that much more expensive in UK?

The Elroq was included instead. They need to spread the praise around amongst as many brands as possible so that the advertisers are happy.

You missed the car stat started off the SUV trend, the Honda Cr-v.

I think he stated anything over 40K wouldnt be included which is why toyota RAV4 isnt on there as well, but i believe the Honda is WhatCar of the year

@notallpolitical I’ve just looked on Honda UK, over £47000 for the CHEAPEST Cr-v, Honda is taking the piss. I purchased a Cr-v SR Hybrid brand new in 2019, was 35k.

07:08 Took delivery of my Summit Edition #5 model last week and it’s just as good as I’d hoped. No doubt it’s a marmite car on looks but you can’t fault the standard of finish externally and, especially, internally where everything is soft finished including the door pockets. It’s a great place to be, seats are very comfortable and the room in the back is amazing.

I’m finding the quoted range to be extremely accurate with a full charge displayed as 336 miles but weirdly, the consumption figure displayed in kWh/100m, not to be! It shows greater energy usage than the miles I’m actually travelling and the battery percentage used. If I believed it, I would only be getting 270 miles to a charge which I’m patently not so there’s something wrong there.

On the move, it’s very quiet at speed and in town virtually nothing from outside disturbs the silence; it’s remarkable. It did take me a couple of days to get everything sorted out to suit my driving including bringing the steering down to “light”. And, only one issue appeared on the Pilot/ACC side when, on the motorway, the car didn’t recognise that we’d come out of a 50 zone for roadworks back into 70 and refused to increase speed! You just have to manually increase the speed but the car should do it for you. With 588bhp getting to any speed is ridiculously easy though!

All in all I’m absolutely delighted with the #5 and recommend having a look especially, as I was, fed up with every other SUV style car looking the same nowadays.

I feel starting price is a bit of a weird one (ideally it should be the price of an adequately specced one) some cars have great base specs , others start cheap but give you nothing

Bigster being £5K cheaper at a minimum compared to the rest of these models, while also offering 4×2 and 4×4 (TC) capabilities with the ground clearance to match, and factory LPG options, is wild. And the more compact Duster is even cheaper, but no less capable.

Jaecoo 7 with 1.5T petrol engine now starts from 24500 EUR or 22000 pounds for base “Uraban” trim in europe. Good looking (at least from outside) chinese vehicle with 7 year or 150000km warranty with road assistance that we can buy or lese and service at well known dealeships makes road handling and little more annoying safety assistance systems totaly irelevant for many people.

We have a Kodiak 7 seater and are changing next year, would love to know about its rivals, 7 seater needed due to space needed for a electric wheelchair and a mobility scooter.

I have just leased a Kia Sportage HEV sport line , The thing in like most .about the hybrid is the transition between EV and petrol ,which is seamless, and it will run on EV at higher speeds.

What about the Renault Austral E? I hired one last year in Spain, and was impressed with most aspects other than boot space (limited by hybrid battery?). It seems overlooked in the UK.
