I test drove an Alfa Romeo Junior Véloce the other day. It’s a very good car and a delight to drive. It wasn’t until we sat down to talk money and I asked the young salesman if they would fit a towing hitch free of charge just like they did when I bought my Guilietta from them 7 years ago that he told me you can’t fit a towing hitch to this model because of the battery ! He then went on to tell me that you can’t fit towing hitches to ANY electric cars ! I don’t think this is true, it can’t be can it ? This happened in my local Alfa/Fiat/ Abarth/ Jeep agent in France and I can assure you that nothing was lost in translation. I don’t tow a caravan, I have a small trailer and a bike carrier that fixes to the towing ball.

towing a caravan with an EV is a laugh…….you start at even roads and you see the range going into 40-50 percent….and than come the hills or mountains…hahaha….you need a lot of charging, and unhooking and parking and waiting…..nahhh

My old Discovery 300tdi used to do 28mpg solo, 26mpg towing . VW Sharan 1.9tdi 50mpg solo, 30mpg towing 😂
